Oh boy, Phoebe and the BoF are thrown from the frying pan into the fire this time. They manage to save Grams and recover the Fountain of Youth, but Grams is a lot younger and, surprisingly, not happy about it. Then Artemis shows up and dumps a dying goddess on them while ordering them to find out who poisoned her with hydra venom. They also need to figure out how to make a godstone to contain Selene's powers when she dies or it could be the end of the world when those powers are freed. So, nothing to see here. Nope. Normal day.

Loving this series!

The Badass Backside of 40 coven get into soldiers of scrapes and danger, but with a Goddess and demi God's on their side there's not much they can't do.
A hugely enjoyable series that has me turning the pages with engrossing tales of mayhem and magic

Omg. We get so many reveals in this book. Luciana and the Backside of 40: Violet, Fiona and Aislinn as well as their mates, find the fountain of youth, Grams, as well as who was behind it all. All of this trouble that the gang went thru because of one of the stupidest reasons. *Sigh* I love how Artemis loves Kalliope who has grown so much in this book. May all the gods help them raise her because it looks like baby dragons have zoomies too.

Grams had me laughing hysterically throughout the book as did the other characters. They are all such a riot. But it isn’t all fun and games in this book. More danger arrives as another god has been poisoned like Aidon was. A lot more FaceTiming with Aidon and the Pleiades happen. Looks like all three power sections are in big trouble with Trouble coming for them- We’ve got the Backside of 40 going nuts working for Artemis, the Twisted Sisters in New Orleans with Athena and Aidon and Phoebe and her gang going nuts too. I’m worried for all of them. Something really big seems to be brewing. I was fascinated by what the gang has to go thru in order for a goddess to die without everything going to …. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Wow amazing action packed story!

Fiona, Violet and Aislinn are butt kicking in Guardians of Magical Power. I absolutely loved the story, and I am anxiously waiting for the next book. Brenda Trim really knows how to capture the imagination it takes to write a superb paranormal story! I loved every word. It may have taken me longer to read this one but real life complications happened and I was sidetracked from reading the book within 24 hours. I would have read this in 24 hours for sure.

I love Fiona and the Backside of Forty girls. They don't take crap from anyone, and they are not too intimidated by their boss! Like I said they kick butt and think about what they did after. They don't hesitate to jump into the action.

Guardians of Magical Power picked up where Meddling in Magical Pursuits left off with the girls trying to find Gram. They find her but a little too late. Gram's not dead but she has changed. Will Gram get her wishes? Or will she stay the way she is? What's next for the Backside of Forty?
I seriously can't wait for the next book.

I love this series, every book is delightful, constantly entertaining, never ending surprises, dangerous challenges and battles with monsters, demons and demigods. Goddess Artemis and her huntresses Aislinn, Violet and Fiona and their mates Argies , Sebastian and Thanos. Aislinns daughter sweet baby dragon Kalliopi and friends. They set out to rescue Violets kidnapped grandmother, reclaim the fountain of youth. Artemis charges them to care for and protect her dying friend and stop the destruction of the world, and find who poisoned Selene. Another spellbinding, deadly and wonderful story you just can’t stop reading.

The BoF stories are filled with so many twists and turns and surprises that each story becomes my new favorite in the series! In this book, we have Grams rescued but feeling the effects of partaking in the Fountain of Youth. A dying goddess who has been poisoned with Hydra venom where the women have to capture her powers in a Godstone before catastrophe strikes and find out who and why she was poisoned. So all in all, a slow day for Phoebe and her friends!.

Wow lots of action, lots of learning and lots of bonding. Aislin and family head to Eodothia, where time runs differently. When they come back Kaliopi had become a toddler and the Bof40 is up to their necks in protecting a dying goddess. The hunt is on to locate her killer and anyone involved. Artemis is her usual demanding and unkind self, Phoebe and Adonis are consulted on this and several other are involved as well. Great story, looking forward to the next episode in the lives of the Bof40 gals!!

The Backside of Forty rescues Grams, finds the Fountain of Youth, and fights demigods while Thanos, Argies, and Bas fight scary creatures. After this Aislinn, Argies, and Kalliope travel to Eidothea to visit Argies' family. While they are gone, Artemis visits bringing the Goddess Selene who is dying. This story is action-packed, and has plenty of romance and steam, ending with a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.

This series is amazing and just gets better with each book, I mean here we are on book 14 and I still find myself hooked and loving these characters and I am enjoying their journey and their relationships. Twists and turns, danger, drama and a little humour it’s and incredible ride!

Oh to be young and have so much energy. Our BoF come to the rescue again on this wonderful adventure.
Missing items are found.
Someone doesn't relish the thought of reliving female issues.
Our little Kali is not so little anymore.

Despite the troubles and turmoil this story in itself has emotional qualities when all involved cannot save someone of great importance.

I am a huge fan of the BoF series and I am loving every book I can add to my Kindle. There’s action and adventure, romance, sisterhood, and adventure… did I mention adventure? The characters are real and crazily enough, totally relatable even in the midst of some pretty wild hijinks.

If you haven’t started the series yet, DO IT!

The Backside of Forty crew and their friends/partners have a major problem on their hands, a goddess (Selene) has been poisoned, and it will be a disaster if she dies. Can they save her? Or advert the disaster? I enjoyed this entertaining story, with it's splashes of steam, adventure and mystery. A good addition to this series.

This book was the usual Brenda Trim amazing book. It was filled with lots of action as well a little spicy steam to really make you dig into this book. I really enjoy how the different gods and goddesses keep popping up in her stories to really bring the book to life with new twists and turns around every corner!!.

The Backside Of Forty have another unimaginable task before them. Creating a godstone and collecting power isn't in anyone's wheel house. The ladies go headfirst into situation after situation. It's a delightful unpredictable story.

The BoF have had their world turned inside and out, up and down and all around but stick together through it all and it looks like there's more to come!! I love how the different Gods and Goddesses pop up, the steamy bits and all the twisting turns! I gotta have more!

From one rescue to another.. they now have the Fountain of Youth and a much younger grams. The Goddess Selene has been poisoned and near death, if they can't find a cure they have to capture her power in a Godstone. Not trusting Artemis they set out to find it.

Brilliant Series

Guardians of Magical Power: Midlife Witchery (Midlife Mysteries & Magic Book 33) by Brenda Trim. The Goddess Selene has been poisoned to take her power. Artemis has brought Selene to Fiona’s house and charged the Backside of Forty with keeping her safe and collecting her power. Almost impossible? Of course.

enjoyable

I like this series but minor details irk me. When written from an English POV things like carts instead of trolleys, scones for breakfast or calling grandparents grams make it a bit tricky to think of as English. Lagging a bit in the later books compared to the earlier ones

Love the twists and turns this story is taking. Love watching the Back Side of Forty work together…and build relationships with their mates. And Calliope….oh my goodness, she is written in such a way that she is easy to picture and hear! Can’t wait for the next book

I love The back side of Forty even though I passed that milestone nearly 30 years ago. I love witches; fae; mermaids; dragons and Greek mythology so finding it in one place is especially pleasing. (I've just subscribed after all this time being a fan)
