There is beauty in a perfect storm – even in its violent destruction.
I’ve always been a part of the world of monsters. Storms thrive on the energy of other storms. In many ways, all monsters are perfect storms.
That’s why they’re hunted.
Content with a life of work and friends, I somehow find myself falling for the eleven gorgeous storms of House Igarashi. Settling in with them is natural, as if I’ve always been missing these pieces and suddenly I can take a breath of fresh hair.
And then the Division of Silence threatens to take it all away.
My name is Hadley. I am a lightning storm. If I lose even a single one of my men, I’m going to bring this world to its knees with blinding fury from the sky.
This is a polyamorous story with content not intended for those under 18 years of age due to graphic scenes and situations.
Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals. She has a habit of creating secondary, and often time tertiary, characters that take over her stories. When she can't fall asleep at night, she thinks up new scenes for her characters to act out. This, of course, is how most of her meant-to-be-thrown-away characters tend to end up front and center - and utterly swoon-worthy! Don't ask her how many book boyfriends she has...
When not writing, Crea is an avid reader. Her TBR pile is several hundred books high (don't even look at her kindle wish list or the unread books on her tablet). Sometimes, she enjoys crafting; sometimes, exploring nature; sometimes, traveling. Mostly, she enjoys putting her characters on paper and breathing life into them. Oh, and sleeping. Crea loves to sleep!
My favorite book in this series so far! I NEED part 2 ASAP! I mean … Crea Reitan I need you to get back here right now and give me that next book or rewrite that cliff hanger. My anxiety is through the roof.
Perfect group, great writing, strong relationship development that seemed natural, not too quick or slow, and a strong plot is building with that cliff hanger!
I honestly thought with 12 people this book would be too over saturated with people for me to actually care about any of them, but Crea did a fantastic job of forming strong relationship where the personalities really shine through. You’ll love each member of the harem and beg to be part of their group.
This is the first book without a marriage contract, but it fits the group and our FMC. I know they will end up together with a HEA because there is no other option. They just are so perfect together.
I almost feel like the only words I have left right now are swear words, because I am not ready to be done with this book. AT ALL. I’ve slowly been falling in love with the Igarashi storms from the beginning and now we finally get to see what their Happy Ever After looks like, only to be dangled off a very steep cliff. I love Hadley; she fits the Igarashi household perfectly. The sweet way all the Igarashis pulled together and looked after one another was something beautiful to witness. I simply adored reading this book. However, I am just the teeniest bit frustrated that I don’t get to find out the rest of the story yet. I NEED the next book and I NEED it NOW! I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.
Wow there is so much going on inside this book. There is alot going on with in the 11 men 1 woman harem. It was diffently over the top steamy with all the men. It starts out a slow steam with Hadley. She was a slow mix into an already large family. I had some trouble keeping up with all the men. We don't see a much of the different men as I would like. They feel a left out. We mostly hear from Hadley and Bronte. While I adore Hadley, I have a little trouble really connecting with Bronte. I feel he is a little whiney. I have to agree with him though the family feels like it is to decided up. They are each into their own little circles and now a real harem but more like just a family. The book really starts to pick up towards the end the enter mingling. It also ends a significant cliffhanger. I really am ready to read the next book. And see what is going on with the family. Haha just kind of need a manual on who is with whom. Maybe a diagram. Highly recommend.
4.5 stars!! The only reason for not giving it 5 was personally I felt like we didn’t get enough of each character, we mainly see either Hadley or Bronte and because of this I struggled to remember each character with being such a big harem. Beside this I loved this book, after the ending it definitely left you needing the next book asap! I take my hats off to Hadley for choosing a harem with 11 guys, but being a storm she is from a big family herself. I loved Hadley I loved how she just settled in with each of the guys. However the Division of Silence are causing problems! Overall a really good read and I love the harem project as a whole. I am in need of the next book!!!
This book is a little more sedate than the others. It's a nice getting-to-know-you story. Hadley is lovely and while a like all the guys there's a LOT of them. I kept getting a little lost so stopped trying to keep up with who does who. The whole book is from only 2 perspectives, Hadley and Bronte. It helps keep it simple but I'm looking forward to part2, where hopefully there'll be more action now the story has established itself.
“No more negativity and moping; it was time to make dreams come true. Or some shit like that” - House of Igarashi Pt. 1
⚡️A polyamorous, paranormal, urban fantasy AND she’s dual POV. Where do i even begin? This was.. interesting to say the least.
I can safely say that i have never read anything like this. I couldn’t even begin to explain this one. Other that it is completely unique and unexpectedly different. These new characters threw me for a loop, again, i have never read anything like them. To say i was shook, shaken and stirred is an understatement.
Now look, i’ve read a few polyamorous books in my time, but, BUT, nothing, ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY NOTHING prepared me for not one, not two, but E L E V E N heads (YES! PUN INTENDED!). My brain didn’t know where or how to produce the.. acrobatics (if you will) that were presented. And listeeeeen, i have a pretty good imagination but, sweet lord, i was not readyyyyy!
I really enjoyed this book! It’s a standalone reverse harem novel set in the Harem Project series. I hadn’t read any of the others in the series before reading this one, but I didn’t feel as though I couldn’t keep up with the plot points and history. I am going to read the others now after finishing House of Igarashi, because I want to learn more about the other families after seeing them as part of this story.
Hadley, the FMC, enters a polyamorous relationship with eleven men. Yes, you read that right – eleven. It sounds like a lot. It probably is a lot. But the way that the author writes the characters, it doesn’t come across as a lot. We learn about each of the men as they are prior to Hadley entering the family and again through her eyes once she becomes part of the picture. They’re all well-established as individuals who have their own personalities, needs, and interpersonal relationships within the household. They all feel important to each other and to the family dynamic, and as though the loss of even one would tip the entire story on a completely different axis. Despite them being “monsters”, the characters feel realistic and full of humanity and personality.
The story is told equally from the POVs of Hadley and one of the men, Bronte. Hadley is a storm monster who left the supernatural world behind after dealing with a tragic loss. She’s been living amongst the humans when she finds herself filling out a relationship questionnaire at The Harem Project. Bronte – oh, Bronte – is a total cinnamon roll. He loves love, and he loves making others happy. He’s so expressive in his love language, and I appreciate how all the others know this about him and fully accept it – even those in which being demonstrative is not necessarily in their individual nature. Bronte has been waiting so long for the final spoke in their family wheel – their wife. He’s nearly given up on it ever happening when Hadley comes along.
There are a couple of “big bads” in The Harem Project world: the Division of Silence and ORKA, who are hunting down the “monsters” for their own nefarious purposes. Every one of the “monsters” has suffered loss at the hands of the DoS and/or ORKA, and the “monsters” are outnumbered, outgunned, and constantly on the defensive. Their families and friends are hunted down, killed, or simply disappear. Hadley & her men are doing their best to simply survive; trying to learn about their enemies to put together some offensive strategy, all while getting to know each other and seeing where they fit within the new family dynamic while new bonds are formed amongst themselves.
Be aware that this story is based on a polyamorous relationship, so as you can probably imagine, there are a lot of different connections and types of relationships formed amongst a group of twelve individuals – sexual and non-sexual. If this isn’t your thing, you will probably want to pass on this book. However, if you keep an open mind & give it a shot, you might end up changing your mind, because although the spice is frequent and intense, it’s also very character- and relationship-based.
The nature of the scene differs depending on the individuals involved – just like any other real-life relationship does (sexual and non-sexual). I should also point out that the relationships are very much based on respect and consent and comfort of the individuals involved. All the men are kind, accepting, open, and respectful of each other and Hadley. There is no bullying or anything of that nature involved between any of the 12, and the men are all sensitive to Hadley’s needs, wants, desires, and fears. They communicate well and take each other into consideration.
The book does end on a major cliffhanger – so if that’s an issue for you, I would probably wait until the next one comes out before reading this one. I am anxious to see what happens next and can’t wait for book 2!

Finally! After so many love matches it's finally the Igarashi's turn. The Harem Project fourth book House of Igarashi was a marvelous read, as I knew it would be.
Hadley and Bronte are the narrators of the story. Hadley is quirky but nice. She has human best friends, a big family, and a weird loved of spreadsheets. I did find her a little annoying at first but she grew on me. Hadley was surprisingly open to the relationship with the guys and things went fairly smoothly. They just clicked. It was Fate that push Hads into filling out the famous questionnaire and Fate wanted Hadley to find her mates in the Igarashi House.
We've met Bronte in previous books. I thought I knew what he was gonna be like in this book and I was completely wrong. I pegged the big guy as nice and together and while he is definitely that he is also an adorably sweet mess. Bronte is so loving and thoughtful with his husbands (Hadley as well when she joins) and needs that kind of love in return. He has this adorable puppy quality to him that makes everyone who meets him live and wants to protect him. I adore Bronte so much. I love how he cares for his family, he's the glue that holds them together.
The Harem Project is a terrific series, I love seeing each House find their missing mate and become complete. The story is filled with found family, I seriously love seeing this fantastic group come together for each other time and time again. And it's always entertaining with flying biscuits, date nights, spreadsheets, erotic gardening, cute notes, and more. This group works well and after Hadley joins some unknown kinks really iron out.
With different harems come different aspects. I love that Crea is creative with her supernaturals and she gives wonderful details about them. This book is about storms and I had no clue what that meant but each of the main characters was an actual natural disaster, from earthquakes to blizzards and more. With them being so unique it really gave Crea a chance to be creative and she did it in a way that made total sense.
Unlike the other harems who dealt more with ORKA (human hunters), Hadley and the guys are looking more into the Division of Silence (supernatural hunters) problem. Everyone agrees that Silence has gone too far, things are being put into place through planning, surveillance, and other information to deal them a devastating blow and end their murder spree. I really need more information on both groups, who are the leaders, how do they get their information, and more. So far they are just these mysterious entities that kill for no reason but power.
I love Crea. She's done a fantastic job with House of Igarashi. The story follows a big Harem (eight fine as-heck dudes plus their new bride) so of course, their story would be split up into two parts. House of Igarashi Part 1 left off with a cliffhanger, was I surprised, no but nonetheless, I'm still devastated over it. Hopefully, Part 2 will release shortly.
I am in love with this series. Yes this is a new book and you do not need to read the others in the series to understand this one but you are truly missing out if you don’t read them. They help build you up to this book and gives you lots of backstory. For this book though it might be my new favorite in the series. This series we get a point of view for the female character and one main guy from the harem plus a harem of 11 men. Yes you read that correctly 11 men. We have Hadley our female main character. She had lost a sister to the groups that hunt the monsters and it brings her to the Harem project. She goes there with the intention of signing on to get her revenge and ends up completing the questionnaire to find her matches. She ends up picking one of the biggest groups there. Then we also get to see the story from Bronte who is part of the group Hadley picks. He is the sweetest guy and just has a big heart and loves his group so much but is just waiting for that missing lice to complete them. As we get through the book we slowly meet all the men. We have Saar and Raiden the twins, Nephele, Aratiri, Tempest, Kohara, Bronte, Zilan, Taranis, Gale and Notis. They are all some type of storm or natural disaster. The author typically has done standalones with these books but with such a large group of men she has decided to break it up into two books. There is so much happening and so many guys to get to know she didn’t want to rush anything. I will say the ending we were left with is killing me though. Without giving too much away they were having this amazing get away as a group and enjoying them selves and then chaos hits and then we have this ending that’s left me hang on the edge. I cannot wait till the next book comes out and see how they get though this and get to their HEA.

So, I finally got to read House of Igarashi, and I'm glad I waited until the second part was released. I know I wouldn't have handled the cliffhanger well otherwise. 🙈 I'm really not good with those.
The story itself is great, like the others in this series, we are slowly introduced to the plot, and mostly it is about building connections between all the harem members. This book is different, of course, since there are eleven men in the harem and one woman.
The story is told from two POVs, Hadley's and Bronte's. I have to admit, I was hyped for House of Igarashi. Every time they were mentioned in the previous books in the series, I wanted to know more about them. It is the largest harem so far, which makes splitting the story into two halves a logical choice. This way, nothing has to be shortened, and each of the guys and Hadley gets enough quality time with each other.
So, I enjoyed the slow build and the everyday situations before slowly picking up the pace. It perfectly fits the theme of a storm, as there is always quiet before a storm, and that's how the story was built up. Though the cliffhanger was really intense, it was to be expected.
This was the first book where it wasn't about the marriage contract, which I think was a logical choice too. It shows a different side of the Harem Project.
So, I really loved this book and the characters in it. I will start with the second part right away. After this cliffhanger, I can't function otherwise, and I have to see how the Division of Silence gets their asses handed. 😁 I mean, it's not good to underestimate storms.
And I want to know more about the motives this time. Usually, each book in the series shows a little bit more of that.
Another phenomenal addition to the Harem Project Series!
I love Bronte and I feel that I connect with him on the way his love language drives him and all the cute things he does for the members of his harem.
"Hell, she could have given me a f'ing acorn and I'd melt for her."
Such a wonderful story to the House of Igarashi and I'm super excited that CR didn't slim down this story just to fit it into one book - so needless to say that I'm super excited for when House of Igarashi: Part 2 comes out. A must read for anyone that enjoys monster / paranormal / supernatural books and of course the romance genre as well.
There is obviously a cliffhanger involved with this story considering it's only Part 1 - so if that's not your jam, maybe wait until both books are out to devour this story. (For those that know this series, I'm sure you can just imagine what the cliffhanger includes... at least partially)
On a more serious note: please make sure that you understand that this is a polyamorous style book and that if you are not comfortable with that life/culture then maybe skip this series. For those that enjoy the scenery here in this style, come and read an amazing series that seems to just get better by each addition. Specific triggers in this book may consist of: torture, extreme fear, immense pain, abduction, and murder. It also consists of mm/mf/mfm/mmf, etc., as this harem is mainly made up of men with only 1 woman.
“Keep talking to me like that and—” My words trailed off as she rose up and then enveloped me again. The choking sound that came out of me was pure lust and pleasure. Maybe I didn’t hate topping after all. Maybe it’s different from what I remember. I didn’t even get a chance to tell her if she kept praising me then I’m going to explode.’
Crea Reitan has an absolutely amazing writing gift, where the characters in her Harem Project series are, well, monsters, trying to live their best lives-together. The interactions of these houses of families create a feeling of joy when their family finally finds their wife or husband, who completes and closes their family unit.
There is a fabulous ongoing theme where the ‘monsters’ in these families are seeking to find the organizations that are murdering them. Each book has had horrendous things happen to these individuals, and Bronte, who works for the Harem Project and is part of the House of Igarashi, has been seeking his family’s wife, while also emotionally feeling the stress of wondering if he will lose his husbands to one of these evil organizations.
This is part one of this House’s story because, with 11 husbands, the meaningful relationships amongst its members are vast and each of these men and their potential wife, are involved. The best part is we get to learn of the intense feelings and love that is a deep part of these monsters, both physically and with all their hearts.
This is the 4th book in The Harem Project series, and it sees the house of Igarashi longing for their last partner to complete their family. Most of the book revolves around Hadley and Bronte, we do get to see the others in this house, but mainly it’s those two we focus on.
Hadley is a great character, she’s feisty, she’s not shy in making sure she gets what she wants.
Bronte loves his job, helping families find their missing pieces. But as another family finds the last piece to their puzzle, it makes a point to Bronte, it just points out that they are missing a “wife”! He’s beginning to resent the other families their happiness! He’s convinced that the next person to walk through that door will be the one for them!
Getting to know the group of men in the Igarashi family, just seems so right, so natural. Hadley feels like she’s known them forever. Could it really be that easy? Not if the Division of Silence have anything to with it!
You don’t need to read this series in order, I’ve read one or two of these books out of order and it really doesn’t make a difference.
It does end on a cliffhanger, which is unusual for this author, but being a family of 12! I suppose it takes a little longer to tell this story. It it’s a cliffhanger ending that will have you wanting the next book NOW!
Another great book from one of my favourite authors. I loved Bronte and Hadley, I would have liked more page space with the other characters in the book, so I’m hoping book two will give them some pages.
The Igarashi's are the family that I've been waiting for! Not only because they are the biggest harem mentioned in this series but also because it's been said so far that storms aren't hunted by Orka or Silence so I've been interested if they would eventually be put on their radar once they got their own book. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this was a duet and not a standalone unlike the other books so far. I'm very grateful that Crea is giving these characters the story they deserve while still allowing all of the relationships between the 12 characters to be fostered and to grow.
Like many of the other harems so far, the relationships do not just extend to the fmc. I liked seeing the different connections each of the guys had with each other, how some were romantically involved and others just close friends, even how something that was originally just friendship could develop into something more after so much time together. There was lots of steam and some really sweet moments as well.
From the other books in this series I've learned that you can't really trust people you've known your whole life, family members, friends, etc outside of the harems, so I have theories floating in my head on who is going to betray someone in this book. I'm actually really excited to see if it turns out the way I think it will.
I love this series and the structure the author has made for it. Each book focuses on a certain family finding their final harem member while focusing on the overall plot of the series which is the threat that is ORKA and the Division of Silence. We’ve seen cameos of this family multiple times with their 11 men in previous books and I’ve been eager for their time in the spotlight. So far, I am loving their story. What may be a Crea first, this book left us with quite a cliffhanger so we know the next book will be part 2 of this 2 part story. Luckily, we don’t have a long wait for part 2 since it’s already up for preorder and will release in a month or 2.
With a harem of 12 people, I’m sure lots of people are wondering how do you even write a good story with that many people. How the author has tackled this is working for me. The POV only switches between 2 characters, the female lead and one of the harem men who kind of brings all of the men together with their role within the family. There are plenty of one of one scenes which really allows the reader to get a better understanding and grasp of who is who. That being said, this book like every other Crea book is poly so expect MM interactions. If that isn’t something you enjoy, then this may not be for you. If you enjoy love of all kinds with some fighting action and an overall story arc of fighting those who are against them, then give this series a shot. I would recommend that you read this in order starting with House of Daemon, even though it’s not really necessary but you may miss out on the significance of other characters when they make cameos.
First half of duet *polyamorous *urban fantasy *dual-POV *established harem (11) mm ⚔️ *mid slow burn 🔥 *relationship focus *1/2 This is the latest addition in the shared world of the Harem Project and this duet focuses on the House of Igarashi and this family definitely needs to duet! There’s eleven men to contend with and to really develop all of those relations, and boy there are a lot of relations within this harem - it is truly polyamorous 😃 Hadley wasn’t necessarily searching for a harem but finds herself filling out the questionnaire and wanting a future with Igarashi instantly knowing they were the men for her! Yet she also has her fight against the Silence to further as well 😬 we also have Brontë as a main male character who affirms that he is the sweet one seeking the romance from and for his husbands and then their wife! This is a slow paced book with a definite focus on the relationship building aspects, although there is a greater focus on some of the 11 rather than others, so hoping we get a closer insight into those in the next book 😃 and then it all happens on the last chapter, with a significant cliffie!!
Hadley is a storm monster living among humans, seeking revenge for her sister. To gain help, she decides to fill out the Harem Project form and matches with a harem of eleven men. As the get to know one another, they decide to take an family outing in an effort to continue building their relationship. But things don't go as planned and disaster strikes. Will everyone make it out alive?
The whole Harem Project premise has been such a wild ride. I have been loving the different Harem that we see and although you get different families each time, they all interconnect into one overall plot. Hadley has matched to a harem of eleven men! ELEVEN!! Even though the men already had established relationships, they all had unique ones that were not all necessarily romantic. I adored that fact and I loved how Hadley coming into the mix completes them.
This cliffhanger was absolutely uncalled for and I came so close to throwing my phone. I knew when I seen part 1 in the title that there would be a cliffhanger, but this one killed me!
So first things first I love the series and I was very excited to read about the biggest harem and it did not disappoint! Loved it and Hadley and her storms. I'm happy that this time noone chose the marriage contract! Also, I wanted to just wrap Bronte in a Blanket for most of the book like a little burrito and hide him from the world. He was tooth rotting sweet, but he made me realize that I do like a super softie once in a while... We get to know the whole harem slowly via the POV of Hadley and Bronte. I do have a question tho, why only these two? I mean sure the relationships are a bit difficult, the grouping and all it's just a lot of ppl and it makes sense to use the POV of these two because they basically are involved with everyone. Still would have loved to see through a pair of different eyes too... Just to get a little bit deeper into the others heads. I need more of the others and especially Kohara and Raiden and of course Tara my favorite... But let's talk about the cliffhanger... Or not because I'm not spoiling anything but I'm really glad that it's a rapid release right now 😂 need the next, now!
House of Igarashi: part 1 by Crea Reitan was yet again another great addition to the Harem Project series—and even though it was only the first part of this house’s story I am beyond invested!!! As always, Crea does an amazing job of creating fabulous characters and an intriguing storyline with an emotional, twist filled plot that keeps you endlessly entertained.
This is the story of Hadley, our spreadsheet loving FMC, who somehow finds herself completing the questionnaire to find a possible Harem match…which leads her to Brontë and the ten other gorgeous men in the Igarashi harem. Holy Harem batman!!! And let’s just say the story just keeps on giving! ;)
Needless to say I hope you’re ready for quite the emotional ride with this one, as the House of Igarashi will definitely take you on quite the journey as they all work together, trying to sort out a plethora of angst; emotions and turmoil that that large of a harem is destined to be! So if you’ve loved the first books in this series, you definitely need this one! And June can’t come enough because I am dying for the rest of this story!!!
The Harem Project returns with its largest family to date. Eleven men waiting for their wife to complete them. After Jennings Wyn gave the Igarashi’s her bouquet, the family’s hope rose, but as time passed, hope began to flag. For Brontë, helping people find their families and forever a at the Harem Project, it’s been especially hard.
Hadley has been trudging along since her sister’s death. She wants Silence to be eradicated and she wants to help make it happen. That’s her intent when she heads into the local Harem Project site in her area. What she gets instead is the opportunity to finish a questionnaire she started years ago.
As the fourth book in this world, readers are drawn deeper into the fight against Silence while catching up with some favorite harems. Big doesn’t do justice to this world or what is going on. A cliffhanging ending knowing that part two of Igarashi will be thrilling and oh so magical will leave readers with hangovers like none other and screaming, “Next please!”
I really enjoyed this addition to the Harem Project series. Hadley has her hands full with 11, yes 11, men. Most of the story is told from Hadley or Bronte’s POV. So I’m hoping we see more of the men in Part II.
After a tragic personal loss, Hadley removed herself from the supernatural world. Choosing to live amongst the humans. When she unexpectedly finds herself filling out a questionnaire at the Harem Project, she’s not ready for the way it’ll turn her life upside down.
Brontë and his mates have been waiting a long time for the missing piece to their family. When they receive a call, their match has been found, they can’t quite believe it.
However with enemies closing in, can Hadley and her mates find their HEA?
I like that the men have an established relationship and we learn about each one before Hadley enters. Brontë is such a cinnamon roll. I love is outlook on life and they way he loves to make everyone happy. I can’t wait to see more of the rest of the harem in Part II. Also that cliffhanger is a nail biter.
House of Igarashi is the latest book in this author's The Harem Project series and it is probably my favorite. No, not because of all the gorgeous men depicted in this book. I love the back and forth. The intricate relationships, the slow-build of the drama, the romance. I love how these men have been longing for so long to finally find their wife, and their time has finally come! Baby steps of course, because Hadley has her own agenda right now, and she needs to take things slow. I love that the men respect this despite their desire for the whole nugget. LOL I love the various POV that we get this story how they come together perfectly. Each chapter adds more to the story and very little takes away. You get the bad guys, the drama, and brace yourself...yes, a cliffhanger. Hope you noted that this book says "Part 1." So, yes, there is more to come. Get excited people! I can't wait. I'm ready for more steamy deliciousness and hopefully...the final downfall of the bad guys! 5 out of 5 stars
This might be my favourite harem of the series! Not only did Hadley have to navigate 11 relationships, but she also chose a different option in comparison our previous FMCs in this series. Whilst I loved the previous books, I really enjoyed the slower progression of their relationships. Don’t get me wrong, there was a definite soulmate/fast burn vibe to this story I loved that Hadley just wanted to settle in before marrying them. The relationship felt more organic and sweeter since everyone was committed to courting her. The slower pace also allowed for each of the guys to realise that they had become too relaxed within their own relationships and working towards spending more time together. Their commitment and love towards each other was so sweet to read, Reitan is amazing at writing a relationship so sweet it’ll rot your teeth. I'm both over the moon and devastated we are not done with the Igarashi’s, the ending of this book nearly killed me! I am counting down the days until part 2!!
I was apprehensive about this book in the series because House Igarashi already has 11 members going into the start of the book, and then they add one more (FMC Hadley). That’s a lot of characters to develop and keep track of, etc.
I don’t think the author quite pulls it off because we don’t see the 2 POV characters interacting with the other 10 equally. There are smut scenes but we don’t see the full romance for each of the 12 characters. Having one of the MMC’s as a POV character (Brontë) helped because through him we got to learn more about the individual relationships and their history. But there were 4-5 others that we kinda got to see beyond the smut, so not a lot of character development all around.
The setup of the book is slightly different since Hadley comes from a large storm family herself and knows what she’s getting into. And doesn’t choose the marriage contract, opting instead to move in and get to know the harem that way.
Book ends on a cliffhanger, the next book is part 2 of the House Igarashi story.

The Harem Project, a safe place for supernatural creatures to find their harem, their home. Hadley is a Storm and she wants to get involved in The Harem Project and their fight against The Silence. However, she finds herself filling out their questionaire and looking through potential harem matches. Then she comes across them, The House of Igarashi, 11 Storms, 11 men who are not complete and are still waiting for their wife. The best thing about this series, is that you know it will be a HEA, but the journey to get there, can sometimes be very rough. This is a two parter and I don't think you could do justice to a 12 person family, without at least two books. The cliffhanger is a good one (from a lover of cliffhangers, you know it's true!) it's shocking and you want to know what happens next - which is the purpose of a CH! I love seeing glimpses of some old friends and seeing new friendships start. I love this universe!
Wow, there is a lot in this storyline. The next phenomenal installment in The Harem Project is the building of Hadley and her eleven men. Yep, eleven men is what I said and I was hooked on the direction this story was taking. Brontë and the rest of the guys in his family are storm monsters. Their family was looking for that missing link to make their family complete. After having started to lose hope Hadley is match to their family. She fits in well as a lightning storm. I like the dynamic that they all have. They each kind of have their own roll and they are conscious of Hadley’s feelings and needs. They all are just trying to survive with the Silence/OKRA messing with them. I loved getting to read about the House of Igarashi after seeing them in previous books. It was awesome that Brontë got the bouquet in House of Wyn story and it gave their family hope. Can’t wait to get more of each character in part two. The chaos that ensues has me hanging on the edge for more.
Oh wow this book was really entertaining. This authour is really creative and designs some unique supernaturals that were really neat to learn about. Hadley and Bronte narrate this story and it was fun getting to know them. Hadley had me laughing at the beginning when we discovered her odd love for spreadsheets ! Bronte is such a sweet guy and his interactions with his husbands and then Hadley were so great. Hadley has joined a very large harem and hopefully we will get different POV’s so we can get to know a few more of them! I am enjoying the concept of this story , and getting to know these characters, its well written and has great attention to detail , it flows well and has all sorts of steam, drama and mystery, the Division of Silence is really causing issues with the supernatural community and the ending had me speechless in shock, I am really eager to find out what happens!
