The Earl of Hawick has secrets. Some of them private, some of them a matter of state.
Daniel MacPherson has inherited his title from one father, the truth from another. When he tracks down his biological father's surviving relations, the Mullens and O’Briens love him instantly and unconditionally. But Daniel has a secret. A second life that takes him abroad into a web of danger and deception. It is only when he crosses paths with his cousin Aidan that he realizes just how close those family bonds have become. And what he and his cousin are willing to do in the name of love.

I’ve been reading these stories for a long time. I wait sorta impatiently for the next book in the series. The story lines are always interesting and the intimacy is done very well. How long until the next story?
You know, if I had based my future with The O’Brien Tales on the first one, I would not be reviewing this latest one! I’ve loved every one since. All the characters are interesting and addictive. Nice blend of danger and romance. I highly recommend this series, even the first one (just be prepared for lots of unnecessary misunderstandings and histrionics in that one.)
Another Super Fantastic Book in The O’Brien Tales!
This book was intense! I loved the story!! I bawled my eyes out a few times but also laughed out loud through some of the antics!
I hate that I’ve already finished reading this book….I stayed up late got up early and read during my (slightly extended) lunch break because I couldn’t put it down.
Thank you, Stacey Reynolds, for writing outstanding stories!!! Can’t wait for the next one!
A masterfully woven tale from the keyboard of Stacey Reynolds, as always! Her entire collection of the O'Briens Tales are an absolute must in everyone's library. In this age of uncertainty, Stacey Reynolds gives us a strong reminder of the things that really matter in life! Slainte!
Stacey has such a way of capturing colorful phrases and personalities. Her stories come to life with humor, heartbreak, tenderness, adventure and love. Globetrotting adventures bribing new plots and characters. Another great one! Read for yourself.
I really enjoyed the story line of secrecy and clandestine operatives. And Ms. Reynolds always incorporates romance. I've read all the O'Brien stories and liked this one best. A great read
I love Stacey Reynolds tales of the O'Brien family. Such wonderful descriptive plots to follow with guaranteed romance and danger in this case of love and adventure, deception and spies. love conquers and heals all.

Brilliant! Another 5-star story in the O'Brien Tales. Romance, suspense, and a whole cast of amazing characters. Each time I finish one of these stories I'm left feeling overwhelmed with emotion and sad that I will have to wait for the next one. Hopefully there will be more. This is one of my all time favorite series.
The narrator, Justine Eyre, is amazing. All those voices, male and female, and she’s able to make them distinct enough to hold an entire conversation and you can clearly understand who is speaking. Bravo!
This story was adventure, intrigue with MI6, drama, family and a love story. I love the O’Brien’s and their extended family. I can’t wait for book 10.
I loved this book from the first page to the last!! I gave this book five stars it was definitely worth it! I can't wait until book ten comes out! And maybe we will be lucky enough to find out more about Danny and Airmid and little Erin!! I definitely recommend this book, it was wonderful!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this continuing tale of the O’Brien family and their extended family! Wish there were lots more, but I see a conclusion drawing near. Excellent reading, all of them!
A bit different as this story deals with Daniel, the nephew of Sorcha and a bit with Aiden. Definitely an adventurous tale of intrigue, travel, drug cartels, and a court case.
As a lover of the Obrien tales, this one was not as good as the first many. I still enjoyed the entirety of the book, i however wasn't as emotionally connected to the characters this time round.
I was hoping that we would get a story with Daniel! The plot was amazing and I cried several times. Stacey Reynolds always delivers on a beautiful story with characters that are so well developed that you can’t help but love!
