I'm not a huge fan of Grant's writing style, which tends to be wordy and pretentious, especially when he's expounding on philosophical issues. Nor do I like his worldview – I couldn't get through his book on the history of the pro-life movement because he takes the position that anything Christian is always good and anything secular is always bad. It is as if the Crusades, Inquisition, and witch burnings never happened – everything evil comes from atheism/secular humanism, or his favorite word "paganism" the Judeo-Christian worldview and the Christian religion being perfect. But he does good research, and he does dig up a lot of good information and quotes in his books against abortion. Therefore, I always read them (with the aforementioned exception) because I get valuable material from them.
