Clare, Stephen and Tom are ghost hunters.
Faux ghost hunters. Awhile after a ghost hunt, successfully ridding the house of a ghost to the owners satisfaction, Clare's mother dies under suspicious circumstances.
Clare is deeply affected by her mother's death and decides to give up her faux ghost hunting. Stephen and Tom don't want to quit and go off to a ghost hunt they think will be very lucrative for them. After awhile when no one has heard from them, she goes to look for them. What she finds isn't what she
was looking for.

It took a while before I was able to enter a dark room without turning on the light before I stepped in.
