A disparaged single dad fights to retain the memory of his late wife by living like a priest. He navigates through social gatherings while still grieving. A stray dog of all things leads him to meet a new woman--one who shows him that all is not lost. Set deep in modern day Louisiana, this tale shows that there always can still be hope and love, no matter what.

This was a nice story about a widower who moves his family from South America to Louisiana. The plot of the story is good, the love story is not X rated or too explicit, but you lost me at 28%, where the main character’s name is mixed up with his brother’s name several times. I had to backtrack to make sure that I understood correctly. I also noticed misspelled words, especially in chapter 35 or 36. I don’t mean to be offensive, or to nitpick, but these things throw me off and makes me lose interest in a story.
