Having Jesse home in Chicago again is the only reason Gideon Keel needs to celebrate. But their private party at Sangre screeches to a premature halt when their home is raided, Dominique is taken by Children's Services, and Jesse's counterpart is arrested. Meanwhile, Emma's case has been reopened, but that is only the beginning of the fallout. Jesse and Gideon must draw new boundaries for their relationship, deal with new rules and expectations in their lives, and stay one step ahead of Foster, the immortal who will stop at nothing to destroy Jesse before he can take his place as a proper Guardian. This book rocked. I loved how Jesse is now more powerful than Gideon and yet he still is submissive to his lover. I know there was that one moment, but the guilt he felt afterward was real. Our Jesse is just to damn sweet to ever abuse his power. His love, hell his soul belongs to Gideon and I think that is more powerful than any magic. I didn't miss Emma in this book. In fact I like Gideon and Jess together as a couple much more than I like them as a threesome. I'm sure we will learn more of what happens to Emma in the next book but what I'm really waiting to read is how, when and where they hook up with David. This entire series is amazing and I can't wait to move on to the next book!!

Holy dimensions, batman! The whole concept of duplicates of us existing simultaneously on a different dimension was mind blowing, but made for excellent reading. I’m so hooked on this series again and can’t wait to see how some of the mysteries get solved. I know the end is in sight, but for now, I’ll stay drunk on Jesse and Gideon.
Even if this book have a warning of m/m/m(menage), it's just Gideon and Jesse and you have a orgie at the beginning of the book. This chapter prepares us to the grand finale (just two book left) and the plot is not really interesting. Gideon and Jesse continue to be themselves, hot, steamy and ready to defend what is dear to them. Michelle continue to be annoying, Domminic is less present and is more credible in the role of a teenage girl, John's himself and JT and David make some good appearance.
I would have given the book 5 stars if the mystery of Emma's disappearance had been explained. Hopefully, that will come in the next book. Also, I wonder if Jesse and Gideon will search for the David in their dimension. Could he be a permanent addition to their relationship? I can't wait to find out.
