When you run, how long does it take for your past to catch up with you? Harley King knows something is wrong when his sister's friend turns up unexpectedly and needs a place to stay. When Harley lets Tilly live with him, he does not expect to fall for her smartass comments and her kind nature. Tilly thought running from her past would keep her safe, but will Harley’s past put her in danger? Can the oldest King brother protect her when her secret comes out? Or will he walk away? 18+ due to violence, sexual scenes, and language.
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
Harley carried the brunt of the abuse from their father. It was really interesting and super sad to see more inside his mind and how it messed him up. Especially the whole thing with his first girlfriend! I'm glad that he found a good girl who could help heal the deep scars from his past. All the King's deserve their happy endings after their father.
This was definitely my favorite in the series. Harley was always my favorite, so I was excited to read his book. And who doesn't love a secret baby (except you don't get with the baby daddy) romance XD
The only thing I had a problem with was the terrible insta love. Literally the second they saw each other they did nothing but stare. And stared... and stared. I swear they were constantly staring at each other for at least half the book. It had to be creepy.
I'm kind of nervous to read Luke's book. His story's start was kind of bullshit and I don't know if I'm going to like it. Which sucks because Luke didn't deserve to have that happen to him. I feel like he was always the background character. And I was so excited to read more of him. But not anymore :(
I have been waiting for Harley's story and it was worth the wait. Harley has been my fave King brother from the beginning. He is the father figure of the King clan. He has been taking care of his brothers all of their lives. He has been through so much and is still a very young man. He hasn't had a relationship in years since the only girl he cared for betrayed him. When Izzy's best friend shows up on his doorstep obviously running from someone his protective instincts kicks in. He lets Tilly move in and he can't fight his attraction to her long. He decides to stick by Tilly and watching Harley finally get his HEA was beautiful. He deserves to be happy and Tilly didn't mind fighting for her man. I like Tilly and she's a wonderful addition to the family. I love the King family and can't wait to read Luke's book.
Harley is the oldest of the King brothers. The one who would do anything to protect his younger brothers and sister. The one who took the worst of the punishments and other abuse dealt to them by their father. The one who seems to have given up on ever having a family of his own. What happens when he meets Izzy's friend Tilly? She's beautiful and seems to understand him better than he does himself, but she's running from something that has her scared and alone. Right from the start they are drawn to each other and the sexual tension is high, but Arthur makes a demand that has Harley hitting the brakes and friend-zoning Tilly fast.
Can they overcome their pasts and uncertainties? Is there hope for the oldest King brother? You'll have to read it to find out.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Not only do we now get Harley's turn but we get to meet Izzy's BFF finally as well. Man does she have one big shocking secret for them all to deal with. Harley rises to the challenge as we would expect him to and even though the two fight it they end up drawn to each other regardless. Let the dancing begin as they figure things out between the two of them as well as their families with a surprise ending. Now I really need Luke's story darn it! I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
This is the first King book I've ever read. I absolutely loved it! Harley is such a softie. How could you not want him to have his own happy ending!? What a terrible past for his siblings and himself. G. Bailey writes with such heart, her stories are so well detailed and you feel as if her characters could climb straight out of her pages ♡ I'm dying to read the other books about this family.
I grabbed the box set from KU. I choked down the first 4 but by the time I reach Luke I just couldn’t do it anymore.
I honestly read through the others just hoping to get to Harley’s story. The poor man has done all he could for his family. I yearned for his HEA. Of course since he is 4th out of 5 you expect there to be more after but sheesh... the “ending” here sucked.
We tip way over on the unrealistic scale on this story. They’ve all been pretty insane but I’ve read many of the “everyone is rich and wants for nothing but love” themed books before but there’s just no sense in this book.
I’m also not sure the author had had children or knows much about the woman’s health after giving birth because she rushes some things here that would NOT be ok.
We also start to see major time delays on this one. Just skipping months at a time but the characters act like it’s just been days. There is no character development by skipping around like that.
I’m in the U.S. so I really struggled with the sentence structure and really odd way she wrote the characters speaking. I don’t know if it’s bad grammar or just that drastically different from over here.
The characters did pull me in, hence why I managed four of the stories. The plot holes get increasingly bigger with each story. We could drive his “old extra” Range Rover through them in this story.
I’m honestly surprised by the number of people that say they just loved these books. They are honestly mediocre at best in my opinion.
Harley. King. This is the King Brother's book I have been waiting for. I mean obviously all of the brothers are gorgeous, they are all strong and loving, but Harley is special. He's dedicated his life to his family. He's done his best to protect his brothers, raise them to be good men, give them a good life. He's always put himself last. His family loves and respects him realizing how much he has given up for them; knowing that they are safe and happy is all Harley has ever asked for. He's always known that happiness, love, children are not meant for him until a siren appears at his front door. Tilly, Izzy's best friend has a secret, she's running, she's scared. When she shows up looking for Izzy she wasn't expecting to find herself a giant. "All darkness can be kept away, you just need to find your light."
This is easily my favorite book in the series. I do not have a single complaint. I love how the relationship progressed. Perfect first date, perfect grand gesture date. Harley gets what he never dared dream of, Tilly gets her unspoken prayers answered. Brutality left behind, love going forward! We get time with the entire King family and we get new additions. There's danger, painful history, second chances, amusements, huge revelations, even a disastrous yet touching proposal. Storylines are wrapped up as new ones emerge. And that ending! Argh! It left me with such a combination of emotions. I'm going to need Luke's story sooner rather than later, please!
Honestly, this was agonizing to finish. It was so painfully rushed that it killed the whole atmosphere. I'm genuinely baffled by all of the perfect reviews. The grammar gets increasingly worse towards the end and even though the whole book is rushed, the end is like triple speed. And it's unfortunate because I enjoyed the premise and I think it could have been spectacular if it had been more fleshed out and gone through some serious editing.
Also... Who takes SIX WEEKS to name their baby, like?? Huh?? That's absolutely wild to me. And I know it was for ✨ dramatic reveal ✨ moment but honestly it just kind of comes across that she doesn't actually give a fuck about naming her. We get one line of internal commentary where she thinks none of the names fit her. And then nothing on how she finally comes to a decision. It's absolutely bonkers to me. And we get like NO precious moments with Tilly and the baby but several between Harley and the baby.
Y'all. I hate giving bad reviews, but like... save yourself. I read four hundred page books in one binge sitting and this 188 page book took me a week to drag myself through.
So disappointing considering the plot had so much to offer. We don't even see the fallout of Daniels bestie/Tilly's brother finding out that Daniel was abusive. Like??
It's a wild ride.
(Also the smut is rushed and poorly written and like maybe two and a half scenes so there's really no spice.)
Harley and Tilly's story is definitely one of my favorite books in the King Brothers series.
Fall follows the eldest King brother, Harley, and his sister's oldest friend, Tilly. Tilly is a girl on the run from an abusive relationship and Harley is ready to be her knight in shining armor. Neither of them is looking for a serious relationship, but they can't seem to resist each other.
Over the first few books in the series, we've gradually gotten to know Harley and his role as protector and father-figure in the King family. Seeing him with Sebastian and Maisy's baby just endeared him to me more. This book just succeeded in making him my favorite King Brother. He is so amazing with Tilly and her daughter .
This book was also big for the entire King family. The brothers' time in the cage is almost up, but the biggest fight of all is coming, and Harley is the one who is going to end it all.
Fall is definitely one of my favorites in this series but holy wow the ending left me totally reeling. Luke's book is definitely going to be another good one and I cannot wait to read that one!
Fall follows the eldest King brother, Harley, and his sister's oldest friend, Tilly. This story and brother are by far my favorites and I was so excited to read it!
Tilly is a girl on the run from an abusive relationship and is hiding a pregnancy from her ex as well as her family.Harley meets her right at the end of Elliot's book and you can tell that he was ready to be her knight in shining armor. Neither of them is looking for a serious relationship, things are complicated enough, but they can't seem to resist each other and the pull is way too strong
We've gradually gotten to know Harley and his role as protector and father-figure in the King family over the span of the other books. We see just what he's been through and how much sacrifice he has had to give. After all the trauma and torture he's been through he still manages to retain a humanity that makes him the kindest and most loving (in my opinion) King brother. We find out that his wounds go much deeper than the physical and we soon find out how deep they go. After being betrayed by the one woman he loved will he be able to move on and finally see that love makes you stronger.
This book is also significant for the entire King family as the brothers' time in the cage is almost up, with the biggest fight of all coming, and Harley is the one who is going to end it all. The ending will leave you reeling and holding your breath. Luke's book is definitely going to be another nail biter! I cannot wait to read it!
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*** This book was totally not what I expected but I fell in love with the characters and book itself. For all my Tijan followers, there is a Tijan feel to this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Harley is the oldest brother and the father figure in the family since their father was killed. As the books continue, you learn more and more about the backstory on the father and family job. It is not what you think and as the stories continue, you learn each persons role in the family job. The story of Harley and Tilly is one of my favorites, but there is a major cliff hanger that will leave you wanting the next book in the series. I am currently patiently waiting.... Harley's story is the 4th book of the series and while the other books don't follow him, you will see much of him in the other books. If you have not had a chance to read this book yet, I suggest you go grab your copy and do so now!
Another great King installment. I can't get enough of this family! This book starts off pretty soon after Elliot's book with Tilly showing up at the King residence looking for Izzy and a place to stay. Tilly is running from her past and wanting to feel safe. Harley is instantly attracted to her but being the oldest King brother and always having to protect the family, he has given up on ever having a family of his own. I Ioved getting to see more of Harley's brutal past and how it's affected his personality. Tilly is strong willed and a great match for Harley. Their relationship is one of my favorites so far. The ending was a delightful and terrible teaser that is leaving me dying for Luke's book! It's a good thing I am so fond of Tristan and anxiously awaiting his story or I would be bummed that Luke's story isn't next.
I have really been looking forward to reading Harley's book. From the first three books, you knew Harley was the reason all the King's brothers grew up into such great men. Also why they were all fighters. Harley took on the burden of raising his brothers and facing the wrath of their father so his younger brothers would not have to. Then enters Tilly, Izzy's bestfriend, she's a feisty redhead that takes Harley's heart from the start. He tries to push her away since he doesn't think he is a good man. Tilly gives Harley something to fight for, Tilly and her daughter. He will protect his knew family at all costs. I wonder if everyone knew that cost would be a sentence of 5 years? I really enjoyed this 4th book and can't wait for Luke's book. That ending once again has me craving more. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO LUKE!!!!
Very quick read honestly not an awful book but again not the best. Like most books I seem to have read recently hated how abrupt the ending was and what was up with the epilogue it wasn’t even on the main characters of the book. A lot of things that should have been more in depth were skimmed over. Like what happened with the mom? How did her brother react when he found out what her ex/his best friend had done? Left me with too many questions and I don’t like that from a book. I don’t know if my expectations are too high or I just look for too much out of a book recently but I was a little disappointed. It didn’t make me want to read any of the other books the author has written

Loved the story!! I found it on TikTok and as hooked. Now I have to start back at the beginning to get Izzy and Blake’s story. But wow. I live Harley and all he was done to protect his family. He has suffered immensely in the name of love and loyalty. Their father is a horrible human being. And so is Arthur. I’m so happy that Harley realized he deserved to be happy after all his family had been through. And Tilly is adorable with he baby and the fact that he just accepted them as his no hesitation was amazing. Wow what a way to end the book. I can’t sit to get to Luke’s book I have a feeling it will be a doozy.
I’ve been looking forward to Harley’s book! He always seemed like such a nice guy, even with his rough past and everything that he has been through. He is an amazing brother and father figure to his younger siblings, and I’m glad he is finally able to have a chance at love! Tilly is running from something, but Harley is there for her and their connection is immediately obvious. Their relationship develops slowly, and there are several twists and turns throughout the story. And as always, I loved seeing the older couples return & continue to be adorable together. Excited for Luke’s book next!!
I loved this story! I couldn’t put it down! Tilly and Harley are such a good couple, they both seem to be totally trusting of each other and willing to share all of their pasts with each other, even things they haven’t told their family about. They have a strong relationship that can’t be broken, they will fight for each other and their familys. I love the strength they both have as individual and as a couple. I loved this book and am totally loving this series, another amazing story from G. Bailey. I am dying to read the next book Revenge, Lukes story.
There was a lot happening in this book, loose ends tied up (hopefully) that will be the last of the cage and Arthur.
Harley has finally found his girl, settled down and has his hea.
I was a little disappointed that Izzy’s wedding was barely mentioned, not to mention the huge 5 year gap that left lots of questions about a certain King brother...
Overall a brilliant edition to the King series.

This is the first King book I've ever read. I absolutely loved it! Harley is such a softie. You can't not help but to fall a bit in love with this guy! How could you not want him to have his own happy ending!? What a terrible past for his siblings and himself. G. Bailey writes with such heart, her stories are so well detailed and you feel as if her characters could climb straight out of her pages ♡ I'm dying to read the other books about this family. These new covers are beautiful!!
Insta love! I'm really loving how this series is dealing with all aspects of romance! I find Insta love to be corny at times but Gem writes it in a way that it doesn't feel rushed and unbelievable. Harley and Tilly's story is one of my favorites in the King series so far. Harley deserves so much happiness and I'm glad that Tilly and baby girl came into his life.
And that epilogue?! I can not wait until Luke has his story!!!! Plus a bonus scene?! Ahh Gem, you spoil us readers!

Finally I am at Harley's Story. He needed to have a good woman and a happy ending. Glad to say that Fall is it. Tilly is such a good match for him and I enjoyed their journey. Harley has always looked after his brothers and I am glad that someone gives him hope and a future. Tilly is that kinda feisty friend that we all have, she is perfect for him. I think that each story I read just keeps getting better and better! But that is a G. Bailey read, always expect to feel and read a good book.
This one had instant attraction which I am typically not a fan but it was ok in this one. Harley and Tilly take it slow so it took the edge off the "instant". The story was really fast paced, time wise. The group was part of the story and I loved seeing them again. It ended a bit in the future and I need to know Luke's story. Overall I am enjoying the series and I think since I read them all pretty much back to back it helped be invested in this book.
Harley is the sexiest daddy ever!! I adore Tilly I think she is perfect for Harley. I laughed a lot in this book and loves how sweet their love story is. They had to overcome a lot but it was worth it! The ending broke my heart though. Luke is an amazing brother he's just so happy all the time you can't help but love him. The cliff hanger had me cursing the months before Luke's book is released lol I can't wait to read what happens next!!
Harley is my favourite King brother and “Fall” doesn’t disappoint to show why.
Harley is a badass and for many years he has sacrificed his body to protect those he loves. He knew he could never actually have a life of his own he knew that he would rather die then watch his family get beat down.
This all changes when Tilly appears on the family doorstep, pregnant and with nowhere else to go. Could Harley really have it all? Find out in “Fall”.
Amazing continuation! Harley is delish and Tilly is exactly right for him. Baby Hope is the perfect thing to tie them together. Arthur is taking this vendetta too far and I hope he is smart enough to listen when told to stay away but I doubt he will. Luke . . . Oh Luke. My poor baby! I cannot wait to find out what happens with him and Tris.
I knew something crazy was going to happen! Gah! I'm so happy Harley finally has someone. But Luke!I knew Daniel would come out of the woodwork I just didn't know when. But what a crazy ride from the cage to kidnapping and then a wedding to start off Luke's story! I'm excited to see what has happened to him for five years, and why he had to avoid his family.
Ironically the story comes full circle when big brother Harley falls for little sisters best friend Tilly. Tilly is running from a bad situation and the ever protective Harley takes her in. We finally get to seen into Harley’s past to know why he is so quiet and lonely. Great revelations and character development. I really fell for Harley. And that ending!! OMG! Can’t wait for Luke’s book.
So excited to finally meet Tilly and how amazing that the brother who would do anything for everyone else finally gets to see what he could have if he lets himself. This book made me loose sleep! G Bailey’s writing is wonderful and her characters draw you in! Can’t wait to read the final book about these awesome brothers and their lives!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
