This novel, by De Coster starts slowly, but hang on for the ride! Gade and Saphire Michaels are sisters from two different sides of the spectrum. Saphire is the older, sexier, curvy sister. She has a great, but naïve boyfriend, Clay. Unbeknownst to Clay, Saphire is jumping from one bed to another with men every chance she gets! Gade is the baby girl of Josey and Russell. Gade is beautiful in her own, more subtle way, she is a college student, and is faithful to her boyfriend Lamonte – that is until Joe Burrels comes on the scene.
Joe Burrels is the one thing Gade and Saphire have in common. The man is gorgeous and suave. At first, the Michaels sisters are simply one of Joe’s many flings. But when he secretly he falls in love with both Gade and Saphire, the plot thickens. Joe becomes Gade’s boyfriend, while Saphire creeps and sleeps with him. When Joe seeks professional help and comes clean about his lifestyle, what was done in the dark comes to light!
Chock full of infidelity, deceit, paternity issues, past hurts, and regrets, Janie De Coster’s What My Sister Don’t Know is an enjoyable urban novel.
