Stolen Kisses from a Rock Star

Rate this book
When I met my favorite rock star backstage at his concert, I never expected to leave with a kiss.

I also didn't expect the man behind the mask to remind me of my neighbor, Landon Holloway--the guy I haven't seen since I rebound made-out with him two months ago.

Is the similarity between the two men just a coincidence? Or is there something more to the boy next door than meets the eye?

Sweet and Swoony Escape!

I love a story with depth just as much as I love a fluffy book chock-full of sweet romance. It's all about balance, people! This story delivers a super sweet romance between Maya, her childhood best friend/next door neighbor Landon, and an ultra famous masked singer/celebrity crush, Incognito.

It was fun to escape into this story and watch Maya battle with herself on who to choose. The friendship between Maya and Landon was amazing, even though they had a rebound make out session a few months prior. Landon is one sweet and caring man and if she doesn't want him, I'll take him, hah! My favorite thing was his encouragement. But...who hasn't had a celebrity crush? It was so much fun to put myself in Maya's shoes for a few hours and live vicariously through her experiences and excitement.

This whole thing, from start to finish, was pure delight!

Content: mild romance

She met her favorite rock star backstage at his concert and left with a kiss. A kiss. Rock star reminded her of Landon Holloway, the boy next door.

So much to love about this book. Twists and surprises, romance, and characters one enjoys being with. Fun read. Most definitely 5-stars.

I originally read this novella as a part of a 21 story limited edition box set and I’m glad this was published on it’s on. I was so excited to revisit characters I absolutely loved and what brought me to judy in the first place.

If you haven’t read protect my heart I highly recommend because thats where you meet Maya, best friend to Emma who that book was based on. I was so excited that Maya gets her own happily ever story with someone so close to home.

You meet Maya, owner of a floral store, single recently breaking her engagement and wanting to find the person she can love. For her birthday she goes with Emma and Arie to a trampoline Centre where she gets stuck in foam. She is rescued by old time friend Landon (who you meet in protect my heart). They shared a moment the night she broke off her engagement but hadn’t seen him while he was away for two months. There is obvious chemistry between the two they both hold inside. She has had a crush on him since forever.

When Emma and Arie surprise Maya for her as a birthday present with tickets to her favourite rockers concert who she idolizes they also surprise her with a vip one on one meet. Incognito ends up being so different to what she thinks he would be like and they connect. When Landon comes by to ask how everything went she opens up to him and revelation are made by him. Truths are told and what she’s wanted has been right there infront of her all this time. I absolutely loved loved reading it that much I didn’t stop reading until the end. If you’re looking for a short, sweet, happily ever after, friends to lovers romance this is the book for you.

I've read a quote a few books by Judy and this was definitely a favorite. I love that the characters have been crushing on each other since elementary school but neither was brave enough to admit it. It's a sweet clean romance you won't want to miss.

This is a short, super cute read!! First of all I LOVE that the characters are in their late 20’s. Landon was such a sweetheart and I really loved Maya too. Growing up I was OBSESSED with NSYNC so reading how she loved Incognito so much and she had a chance to meet him had my teenage heart so freaking happy for her. I always wanted to meet Justin Timberlake, after all I signed my name Mrs. Timberlake for a good 3 years 🤣 I did wonder how she had no clue Incognito was her friend Landon for a good portion of the book. I mean she’s kissed Landon before and I’m sure he smells the same. I’ll chuck that up to her thinking Landon is a professor and there is no way he could be a Rock Star too. Landon was also so pushy about her kissing Incognito. That alone would have made me wonder if he was in fact Incognito. I loved how Landon called her honey when they were 5 and then again in their 20’s 🥹 In this story the good guy in fact didn’t finish last and he did get the girl 💕

The boy next door, childhood besties, turns out to be the masked singer you're in love with??
This book is all sorts of cute and funny. Definitely one of my top 10 favorite clean rom-coms. There's kissing, but that's as far as it goes in this book! Detailed? Yes, but its very PG. I would recommend this book to anyone 12+, it's a very innocent book. This is one reference to sex, but it doesn't have anything to do with the book or scenes, it's there as a mistaken wording of a character.
I loved everything about this book. It is very hallmark, you know who the love interested is instantly, and there's no cliff hangers, which makes you want to finnish the book instantly. Which is perfect, because it's a very short, sweet, book.
My personal favorite parts of this book, was all the small sentimental things the love interest did to show the MC how he truly felt. Always been in love, but never had the guts to say it. 10/10 would recommend.

This is quick read. It’s really cute and fun. My only problem is it doesn’t explain how he became Incognito. That should have been one of her first questions. I mean that’s what I would be thinking... this is crazy, this is impossible, how did this happen. I really want to know!!! And how does she not know that he plays a guitar?! They are friends and we’re neighbors. Come on!
Also, shouldn’t she be wearing a mask too when at his concert so no one gets a look at her a blows his cover. I mean I can even picture him taking her to the red carpet but she shouldn’t show her face because people would recognize her and then figure out who he is. But other then those things I liked it.

A delightful novella! The characters feel three-dimensional and are so lovable. It was great to see them slowly find their way as they navigate deep feelings and the changing landscape of their relationship. The speed of the plot is just right, the author's writing style is smooth, and the romance is sweet, swoony and heartfelt. I have loved following each character through their individual stories in the "Rich and Famous" series and revisiting them in following books. I cannot recommend Judy Corry's books highly enough! Read them! You will be so glad you did. 5 stars!

This cute book is about two people that were once good friends growing up that have reconnected after not seeing each other in a while. The last time they did see each other they made out after she broke up with her fiancé. Maya and Landon first appeared in another book I had previously read but it had been so long that I may have to go back and read the other book again. They are both fun characters. I’ve enjoyed all the books I have read by this author.

This sweet contemporary novella revolves around Maya, a florist and a childhood friend, Landon (a Psychology Professor). They live in the same town and they shared a rebound kiss two months back. For a birthday gift, Maya is treated to front row seating at her favourite rock star, Incognito's concert followed by a meet and greet. And Maya can't seem to shake off the connection and familiarity between them despite only meeting up with him so briefly. She is torn between these two men.
An enjoyable read with likeable characters. A clean read with only kisses and no swearing.

Way too short and rushed. I also wish I read it after Protect My Heart because it's much more connected to that book than the Rich & Famous series. But it was still a good story. Clean, sweet, good communication between the characters (for the most part). There were some quite unrealistic scenes, but just look past that and enjoy the story.

This was a quick and cute refreshing read. A closed door book, but soooo good. I love how she didn't know who her favorite Rockstar was the whole time and he made a song about her. My heart 🥰🥰🥰🥰. I would always read Judy books.

A sweet and fun romance novella.

I enjoyed Maya and Landon's story. It's been years since I read "Protect My Heart", but I guess that's quite fitting since this novella is set years after that book. 😊

A wonderfully sweet second chance romance with a fun alter ego theme.

I loved how we’ve been set up a bit for this book throughout the series. We have a single perspective from the heroine and it’s nice to watch as these two have fun together.

If I could give this 10 stars I would. Such a cute and sweet romance and I loved the music element to it, and that the characters were around my age. May be my new favorite Judy Corry book.

Totally obvious who the mysterious, masked singer is. Yet the characters were fun and this is a rather nice version of this trope.
