I've just finished listening to all 7 books of this while I was at work. Although each book gets slightly shorter than the previous one it was still a very long series! It was around 51 hours. I absolutely loved these books. Otto Shenk was a very interesting character and his entire quest for power fascinated me more each book. I was a tiny bit dissatisfied with the ending, but that's how life is! Things don't always end exactly how you expect them to and that's just fine. Anyone interested in reading this book series I absolutely would suggest you do. You won't forget this one!(Copying this onto all 7 books) Thanks James E Wisher.
I've like that the characters seem to be less bat shit crazy in this book in the series. The new setting was also a nice change of pace. I still don't really like any of the characters, and every time someone new is introduced who would be enjoyable the author ruins it with some heavy handed plot adjustment that doesn't make sense in the story. It is a simple little story that isn't nuanced, but it is at least a easy audio book to listen to when doing other things.
I've found that I like James E Wisher as an author. What he's writing may not be groundbreaking, but he sure knows how to entertain.
His protagonists (from the two series I read) are the personification of "speak softly, but carry a big stick". They don't start the problems, but when you interfere with them, boy do they finish it.
The adventure continues with fast paced sequences that never provide a dull moment. Also the characters in the story continue to be enjoyable and entertaining throughout this entry.
James E Wisher has written another great series. The thrid son surprises everyone. Now the suspense mounts as I wait for the next book in the series to be released. How will he survive the assains?
I found this compulsive and finished it in a day. The sequences with the undead were not as appealing as the ones in earlier books in the series but they were still well written and I wanted to find out what happened next.
Can easy Say in loving every minute of this story! There wasn't a time I felt fed up or confused over the characters or events in the story. Ready for book 6
Getting closer to the objective , first part of the plan is in place , two more parts to go , with assassins in the mix it should get interesting in the next book .
I think this was the final book, what a joke. The whole build up is just pathetic, main baddies end up being weak and pathetic, just a bad end to an even worse series.
