This book with cute illustration is a nice introduction to Irish Legends.

Irish Legends, if not famous as Greek mythology, are also fascinating to read, the mostly important of which are the Ulster Cycle and the Fionn Cycle. So, Diarmaid to Fionn is Lancelot to King Arthur and The origin of Halloween was in Irish Legend.

The writing is simply and the stories are clean enough to be ready by children, maybe except "How Diarmaid Got his Love-Spot".

As someone who has Irish blood, and someone interested in mythology and legends in general, I found this book very interesting. Not to mention the artwork - it's absolutely spectacular!
