Flavours: A Short Story Compilation
An anthology of nine disparate tales showcasing a range of genres - from the farcical to the horrific. Jim’s day starts off badly…and goes downhill from there. Humanity has evolved, but no super powers here. An everyday walk turns into a nightmare. Stone tortoises and noisy neighbours don’t help with insomnia. An interplanetary explorer possibly dooms the population of a planet. A man from the future solves the mystery of the abominable snowman. There’s an unwelcome package that’s delivered far too late. A man in a boat is given an interesting proposition…from a mermaid. Someone finally acknowledges their actions… far too late.

These are short stories that feature classic British wit. It's a unique and enjoyable blend of Monty Python, Stephen King, Isaac Asimov and The Three Stooges. It's by an indie author so there are typos, but overall I enjoyed this quirky and imaginative book.
