A well-written story about a woman with a checkered past trying to walk the straight and narrow toward happiness for once in her life. Staying on that path isn't always easy! "Strut" is by turns emotional, funny and thought provoking. Monette is a wonderfully fleshed out character. I was happy to meet her and sad to say goodbye at the end of the book. Highly recommended

I really enjoyed this book. I became emotionally attached to the main character and felt invested in the choices she made. This led to me being afraid of what might happen next. Definitely worth the read.
