Although I used to quite like Vic Reeves' Big Night Out and Shooting Stars on telly, and very much enjoyed Bob Mortimer's book And Away, this thin paperback was rather too mad for me. I suppose they would describe it as "daft stuff and nonsense" but that doesn't necessarily mean funny. I barely smirked at any point, although it was nice to see the Man With The Stick again after all these years. 3/5

unusually good tie-in. in my opinion, usually comedy shows from the 90s seemed to feel obligated to create tie ins which were often just stacked together rubbish unused material which didn’t really work together whatsoever. this one is good though, likely because jim and bob are naturally extremely creative people. it’s very nice to see more of jim’s art in this and just generally a fun read!

Funny material not in the show. Worthwhile which is surprising for a television show tie-in.

Brought back a lot of good memories of their great TV series. This humour works better visually though.
