This is a re-edited and large print edition of a childhood memoir originally published in 2002 by PublishAmerica. A combination of memoir/creative nonficton/fiction, set in Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana and Canada, most of the stories take place in the early twentieth century when the author was seven years old. There is a generous sampling of viewpoints from a seven-year-old to the reminiscent voice, tone and perspective of an adult. The stories range in style from experimental to traditional forms. This reprint edition maintains the easy colloquial style of the original and author's fine storyteller's gifts. Excerpts were also previously published in Obsidian and Obsidian II.
