I absolutely love this book. In the past 50 or so years I’ve had the pleasure of leading groups, giving leadership seminars, and have had a ton of fun just hanging around with friends and family. I could not think of a better book to get a conversation started at any one of these levels.
I pat the authors on the back for the time they took to compile all these questions. They are not onlyPrecise but flexible enough to use in almost any situation, including church groups, youth groups, and just fun with family.
I give this book a very high recommendation.
I was given this book to review by HRC at no cost to me
Think it was too many questions for me which made me lose interest about a third of the way through. I am all for self reflection but 3000 questions is too much for me personally.
I found this to be an odd little book. The ARC copy that I received did not have any introduction in it whatsoever, so I am not sure of the author’s intent. Does he or she mean this to be a book of writing prompts… journaling starts… fuel for a game of getting to know someone better or family bonding time? This is unclear. This book has 3000 uncategorized and unrelated questions that we could ask ourselves or other people. I’m not sure the country this person comes from, but I didn’t understand cultural references in some questions; some words/concepts were unknown to me. My guess is the author is not American. If you want to understand more about yourself and others (mostly superficial topics, though), you might find the questions posed in this book to be interesting ones in your exploration.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Received as a gift from an ARC program that I belong to, this is not the kind of book you look at just once! Keep it on file for lots of fun and knowledge. Im going to buy a hard copy for reference, I originally read it on Kindle. Highly recommended.
