★★★★OUR WORLDS COLLIDE AND LINES GET CROSSED★★★★
Lizzie I've loved Seth nearly all my life and when fate puts him in my path I take the chance and make my move. Only to discover that the Seth I knew isn't the Seth I've found. He's not the boy who once dried my tears and won my heart. He's a jerk.
A jerk who still owns my heart. He's also one of the builders working on my house. When his sister leaves him without childcare, I'm the only one available to look after the daughter he’s so protective of. I know he says we can only be friends. But the more time we spend together the more I dream we could be a family. And when people threaten to tear us apart, I’ll prove just how much I’m willing to risk for Seth and his little girl.
Seth A chance encounter with my friend’s little sister threatens the shaky foundation I've built for myself and my daughter and I quickly put her in the friend zone. But when I’m sent to redecorate her house I discover just how good she is with my daughter and I'm not sure how long I can keep my hands to myself.

Finding Our Forever proved to be a very enjoyable read and one where I really warmed to both main characters. The prose flows smoothly, resulting in an "easy to read feel" to the book. It is chock full of sweet, swoony moments, with a delicious slow-burn feel and plenty of sexual tension, which combined into a fabulous story.

I definitely got all the feels from this one, Lizzie’s attraction to Seth was almost tangible. Their chemistry was amazing and took me from warm and gooey all the way to heart-aching bitter sweetness. And the ending. Oh the ending. Quite simply it was everything! I might have needed a tissue or two for it.

Both main characters were not only believable, but also immensely likeable. I’d love to have Lizzie as a BFF, she was such a sweet, kind and supportive person. Seth was a pretty great guy and an amazing dad to little Ellie.
The author did a fantastic job of portraying this relationship, and I was impressed with how strong he remained for little Ellie, even when the rest of his world was falling apart.

I really liked how important a part Ellie played in this book. Too often in single-parent romances, the child is only intermittently visible, appearing when the author remembers them, or can fit them into the plot. Here Ellie was a significant part of the story, not in an overpowering way, but not as an after though either. Seth faced the same issues that all single parents do.

Extra depth and interested was added by the inclusion of some great supporting characters and engaging side stories. This book left me with a goofy smile on my face and I’m really looking forward to reading about the next couple!

Finding Our Forever is the first book in the Stepping Stones series
by Laura Riley and what a great start to a series it is!

Lizzie, an art teacher has had a crush on her brother's best friend Seth since she was a teenager. He was 9 years older than her and just saw her as his friend's bratty kid sister. Jump forward some years, Lizzie is back in town after studying away to become a teacher. Seth is now a single dad to a lovely little girl, Ellie who has separation anxiety since her mother up and left. Now that she is back Lizzie is determined to get Seth to notice her and to see that she is a fully-fledged grown woman now.

Seth will always put his daughter first, then his job second, he works with Cole (Lizzie's brother). He has no time for women or relationships especially since he was married before and it is a case of once bitten, twice shy. But, when Lizzie does indeed grab his attention he struggles to fight the immense attraction between them. Not only has he sworn off relationships, but she is also Cole's little sister and Cole would kill him if he and Lizzie started seeing each other.

What follows is the wonderful story of how Seth and Lizzie's relationship develops despite all the obstacles including people very much not wanting them to get together. Ellie plays a big part in their story because of her issues, and I am glad that the author handled that part of the story sensitively, believably and without just pushing her into the background.

Parts of this story had me laughing out loud, some had me softly sighing and smiling, especially the scenes with the darling Ellie. Others made me want to high five somebody with triumph, and yet other parts made me truly angry. I love a book that makes me run the full gamut of emotions like this one did. There were some great sub-characters too whose stories will be explored in future books which I very much look forward to.

I very much enjoyed this book and am happy to recommend it and rate it 4.5 stars.

Magical

Magical is a word I would use to describe this story...

*Spoiler Alert**

Seth and Lizzie's love story started years ago without them even knowing it.

Seth's heart has been shattered by the one person he thought would be the love of his life for eternity, and now he is forced to raise his daughter alone.

Lizzie had loved Seth her whole life, but she knew she could not have him. He has a daughter and no room for anyone else. He only sees her as his best friend's little sister. Will he ever see her as more?

Seth had noticed that Lizzie was no longer a little girl, but his best friend had warned him to stay away. He doesn't have room in his life for another, but his heart wants what it wants. Can his little girl accept another in her life? Will his ex destroy his newfound happiness?

This story had me sobbing and laughing all at once. I cried for the pain that Seth and Ellie went through. The persistence of an unconditional love meant to be.

Beautifully written with all the feels. Cannot wait to read what comes next.

This is the first story in the Stepping Stones Series and what a way to start.
Lizzie has had a crush on her older brother's best friend, Seth, since she was a little girl and now that she is back home after finishing college she is ready to prove that she isn't just Cole's little sister and exactly what Seth needs.
Seth is now a divorced single dad who only has time for two things in his life, work and his little girl Ellie who suffers from separation anxiety since his ex abandoned both of them. And with everything that has happened, he is definitely not looking for a relationship. Especially with Lizzie. But when he finds out that his next job is renovating Lizzie's new home and his sister is unable to take care of Ellie for him, he is forced to let Lizzie step in and help which brings them closer than either thought possible. But can he risk everything to be with the one person who can give them the forever that they both want?
This story has everything that you can ask for in a romance and should be on everyone's TBR

This story captured my heart. Very well written the author draws you in and I personally felt like I was in the book with the characters. I will admit even at the end I still didn’t like a couple of the characters (not the main ones) even days after reading the book I am thinking back on pieces of it and want to read it again. Parts of this I felt so much what the characters did that I cried, in the end it was all I could dream would happen and I am looking forward to the others in this series. I promise, you will love this book and now I need a paperback copy so I can read it again and again.

This book is a first in a series. It's a story about a woman who has had a crush on her brother's best friend for years. After coming back home, she finds her crush is going through a divorce and has a daughter. He is not looking to get caught up in another relationship. It is a good read. I highly recommend it.

Laura has written an amazing book. I love the Britishness about it. Seth and Lizzie have a journey to travel, the idea of that being like stepping stones brings a unique warmth and quality I havnt seen in a while. I hope you enjoy this book and their journey as much as I did. I can't wait for the next book in the series

This was a good read and an easy entry to a new series.
First book from this author for me. I like the writing style and her prose.
Lizzie has always loved Seth and he’s been badly burned by a witch of an ex wife. Plus, his best friend and boss is Lizzie’s older brother. So...

I’m very much looking forward to more of the series. Especially Cole’s story.

This book had way more sexual tension than the actual plot. I stepped away from reading this too many times. The little girl was adorable, and her separation anxiety was a real issue not usually brought up in books. The characters were mostly likeable. There were sex scenes, and honestly as muted as they were. I didn't see any reason for them.

Such a heart warmer

This story was so heartwarming and to hear that Cole shared his wealth by giving them the trip to Disney to help them realize they truly belonged together was great.

Slightly boring

There is so much immaturity with the H. Actually with both of them. Their reactions to situations were so petty and foolish.

Oh my, what a book this was and I loved Seth and Lizzie’s story. Little Ellie was just adorable but I could not believe what Darcy and Cole did. Some siblings they are.

Really enjoyed this book. The first in the Stepping Stone Series. Finding our Forever is a wonderful second chance of happiness for a single dad.

Seth had all but given up on relationships after being burned by is ex. Left literally holding the baby.

Lizzie has always had a crush on Seth, but with the age difference and him being her big brothers bestie, she never seemed to get noticed, well not in that way.

Not until now.... try as he might Seth can’t keep away. But not everyone is happy with that!

Great read, wonderful characters and giving us a great insight of the characters to come.
