Josie Pigeon, proprietor of Island Contracting, is bothered to find she has a double--a gorgeous redheaded carpenter who's being mistaken for her all over the island. And when this mysterious look-alike turns up murdered on Josie's job site, Josie is highly indignant.
Can it possibly be--Ms. Pigeon's all-woman construction crew and her boyfriend Sam, fear--that the intended victim was Josie herself? She doesn't think she has any enemies. In waters more troubled than she suspects, Josie goes fishing for the truth--and makes a catch that she wishes she could throw back. . . .

Good, solid mystery. This is a series I’ve read out of order so I had to figure out what was going on. I enjoy the characters in this series. The story kept me entertained and I look forward to reading more.
I enjoy Valerie Wolzien's books. I like the characters and the all-woman construction company. The books are a great read when you need something not too heavy. Perfect to reset your brain after a more tense book.
2nd in the series about Josie Pigeon and her all-woman construction crew. Interesting mystery---but seemed a little disjointed---however, I am a Susan Henshaw fan so Josie just takes second place. I wonder why the names of the police chief and his son were changed.
Quick reading. Josie Pigeon owns a contracting business on an offshore island. Someone who resembles her is murdered at a work site. This was okay, not tremendously satisfying. (Just vaguely remember reading this book, don't recall any details.) 3 stars may be generous.
