Like many fiftysomething housewives facing empty nests, Susan Henshaw decides that returning to college will give her life new meaning. But a murdered lab partner isn't what she had in mind--especially since the victim was strangled with the straps of Susan's own backpack.
So when Susan is named the prime suspect, she fits an investigation into her extracurricular activities. But after a strange student ominously named "Jinx" becomes her informant, Susan begins to wonder: What does she really know about the victim, academic politics, or even her newfound friends? One thing is certain--finding answers to this test could cost Susan her life. . . .

This is a cute little cozy about a suburban housewife going back to school who finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation. It is a light read, as a good cozy should be, but I found the ending a bit too tidy. All loose ends were squarely folded up within a couple pages!
Another good book in the Susan Henshaw series. This one was a little different with Susan getting distracted from her murder investigation with the classes she was taking at the local college. I'm liking this series more as it gets further into it and the writing style becomes more modern.
Not my favorite in the series, but I really enjoyed it all the same. Susan Henshaw, wealthy suburbanite, is heading back to school where--surprise--she gets involved in a murder.
Susan goes back to college and finds another murder to solve. I enjoyed the travails of a 50+ housewife studying for the first time in over 25 years. Good mystery.
