This one read a lot like a teenage self-insert fanfic (not saying it was one I'm saying it read like one), in other words it tended to be self-indulgent and cringy. Some of the humor was fun but it was way too long for the story it had to tell.

This book is not going to be for everyone, as the main characters are actually the killers, picking victims to kill in different ways.

I will say that this book immediately takes off from the get-go (literally, page 1). You are introduced to the characters, their "murder shack in the woods", their plan to commit murder, how to go about practicing first, and body disposal afterwards, etc.

Along the way, there is highschool drama that needs to be resolved, even amongst the members of the sisterhood. One is on medication, one wants out of the club, one is a secret cannibal... typical girl stuff.

One of my favorite parts of the book is a running gag where Claire (a cruel, depraved character) never remembers her "boyfriend's" name. It's always something different, which I found quite humorous.

The Sadistic Sisterhood reads quite quickly and not in a bad way. I felt myself laughing along with the characters even though I probably shouldn't be. If you're not a fan of dark humor I advise to read something else. If you love the horror and humor then this is the book for you.

My favorite character I would have to say is Debbie. I love how she seems to be the comedic relief of the group.

Claire seems a bit spoiled to me with the way she treats the others. Her attitude may be their down fall or at least hers.

I hope there is another book, the way it was left makes me wanting more.

Great flashback to the 90s

If you're a fan of Jawbreaker, Clueless, or Heather's, you will love The Sadistic Sisterhood. It is a great mashup of humor and horror. Highly recommend. This will definitely be a cult classic

Teenage Sadistic Cannibals unite!

In this intense and gripping tale, teenagers run amok with evil killing at will and taking parts for their prizes.
Claire, the Mc, creates a club, an evil club based on killing. Claire as well as the others all have connections to famous killers including Jeffrey Dahmer.
Claire puts this group together to become the world’s best female serial killers.
Little did she know how much would go wrong.
What can go wrong with teenager serial killers?!
Her club suddenly finds itself in a deeper hole with more deaths, food that is suspiciously good and possibly human, and tons of surprises.

It wasn't bad. it just wasn't for me. Gave me a fan-fic kind of vibe. Reminded me slightly of 90s high school movies akin to clueless.
