The best and most unique art here looks like it was inked, then scratched over with tiny white lines, which I have no idea how this would be done, but it looks great. Content-wise: haunting recollections, a zombie food chain, space exploration notes. Quite good, but the successor is even better. I wonder if he's got anything further in the works, as neither of these are at all recent.

just reread it, i'd drop it down to four stars, still better than the Birds of Prey collection i read today.
