Measle Stubbs Adventures #3

Measle and the Mallockee

Rate this book
Meet Matilda Stubbs. She's nine months old, has six new baby teeth, and loves to send spoonfuls of porridge catapulting through the air. But this is no ordinary Matilda is also a Mallockee -- one of the most powerful creatures in the world. And guess who her big brother is. In his third heroic adventure, Measle is thrust into his most outlandish predicament yet. How will he ever escape from the spooky, deserted castle, fend off his guardian Wrathmonk, rescue his kidnapped parents, and look after his baby sister? The odds are stacked against him until he learns that, this time, he's got a powerful ally -- Matilda the Mallockee is on his side.

Probably my favorite so far out of the series! I’ve yet to read the last two books, but I’m about to start them. I love the setting of the castle in this one, plus all the new characters and the bringing back of previous. I feel like the adding in of Iggy and Tilly really made it more than just another Measle adventure.

Reviewing all these in a row, since I was playing catch-up with the other two. Another hilarious Measle escapade. I kind of think this one was my favorite-the castle has been my favorite setting so far, and Measle got to do a fair amount of evesdropping on people talking about himself (something I always like in books. :) Iggy and Tilly were hilarious as well. Now to track down the last two books in the series!

A lot more cat and mouse adventures for Measle this time in a castle which seems to change and have new dangers at every turn. Loved the supporting cast of Tilly, Tinker and Iggy. I cant say enough good things about this series. Great fun for kids and has the charm and inventiveness to engage older readers like myself.

Ogilvy's characters improve with familiarity. There's a new one in this book who is absolutely a hoot.
