A story about two guys who were in love in college, but then broke up because the seme kept cheating on the uke. And that's basically what I didn't like - cheating is a real turn off for me, and I couldn't understand why the Ryuuji would still be in love with Taakaki after what he had done. But if you ignore that, it's a good story. And I will admit to being easily satisfied by kittens. *g*

The second story about a high school student in love with his brother's colleague was okay, but not too memorable.

If you like strong drama then this title is for you. The artwork is good, the plot - though not completely original - holds your attention and its just a general good read that I find myself re-reading from time to time, which is rare for me.

There are two stories in this manga. The first has the most absolutely adorable uke of all time. The story is very angsty. College sweethearts had a bad breakup but meet again five years later, when they're both teaching at the same school. The uke is so deeply in love with the seme, who cheated on him repeatedly when they were in college, that he cries ALL THE TIME and I love that for some reason... Up until the very end he worries he can never trust the man who broke his heart, but the seme really has matured and the story ends on a very happy note.

The second story is short. A high school student falls for a 30-year old man who feels he'll never find true love. He rejects the high school student (who is the seme of the story) until he finally realizes the boy is truly in love with him and not just playing with his heart. It was a decent story but not nearly as enthralling as the first.

The art is so beautiful and the stories are filled with angst but end happily. This is exactly the kind of manga I love!

The storyline for this manga is overall decent, but nothing to write home about. I mostly love this one for the art style, specifically the way Ryuji is drawn, and even more specifically his hair.

Intense Rain tells us the bittersweet love story between Takaaki and Riuji. When they first met, a bored and mischievous Takaaki decided to take advantage of sweet Riuji. The meet at a student party, and Takaaki convinces Riuji to leave with him. After getting him so drunk he cannot resist, Takaaki abuses him. But Riuji is a really nice guy and takes it quite easy. Intrigued, Takaaki takes to chasing shy Riuji around the school. At last, they start a relationship, but Takaaki is a terrible flirt and keeps cheating on Riuji. At last, with a broken heart, Riuji leaves Takaaki in a night of intense rain. Five years later they meet again, when Riuji is offered a position in the school Takaaki is working. Soon enough they realize they are not over each other, but restarting the relationship is not easy. Is Takaaki sincere? Does he really love Riuju? And more important, is Takaaki worth the risk of having Riuji heartbroken again?
It is an entertaining story, the drawings are nice and the characters likeable. It is quite light on the sex scenes, mostly hinted but not shown. The story is rather short, and includes an even shorter story at the end. This is about a guy being chased by a younger one (unfortunately, the brother of the guy he is really interested in). It is quite funny. I enjoyed both of them.

Five years after a very painful breakup Ryuuji finds himself working in the same school his philandering ex, Takaaki is currently teaching. But he soon realizes that the Takaaki he knew has changed and matured; and though Ryuuji fears pain and betrayal again if he gives in to his lingering feelings for Takaaki-this time he's willing to take the risk and not run away again.

Bonus story: Because I Said I Definitely Like You

Kei, a high schooler, has a one night stand with Satoshi, a businessman in his 30's. Thinking he's found the one, he gets a rude wake up call-literally-when he finds himself alone in bed the next morning. It turns out that Kei's older brother is Satoshi's colleague and friend; but the bigger surprise is when he discovers Satoshi harbors feelings for his older brother. But that isn't the only obstacle in Kei's path to attain Satoshi as his own; b/c Satoshi has known the heartbreak that love can bring and he isn't willing to go through it again.

These were nice stories about giving love a second chance. This manga was sad, sweet, and funny at times and definitely a nice addition to my ever growing yaoi collection.

This is one of my favorite manga. I'm super happy I could find it to buy it. The characters are sweet and the storyline is really well done. Intense Rain gives a nice, realistic (relatively) view of the trials of relationships, especially those that affect us so deeply. Very cute! I definitely recommend it and Shinri Fuwa's work in general.

Being not quite a fan of this genre, and having into consideration the fact that this book has managed to amaze me, I must admit that the author has done a pretty good job here. The story flows perfectly and never feels too exaggerated. The main heroes of this title have been crafted in an unique way. I definitely recommend it.

[2.5 stars] I think this book could of been done a lot better. in the main story, the seme(baba) could of made more of an attempt to win over his uke. I noticed in places where this book was lacking, there was a new item use in a metaphorical sense e.g cat <----> keys vise versa

Great artwork, and it’s a good read. A second chance romance and high in angst.
