Haven't really read this one, but I've got two autographed copies! Yay, Magic! It was worth standing in the chill, wet air to get a chance to meet a childhood hero.
I listened to the audio book and it is outstanding! Magic Johnson has truly become a successful business man and I bet the majority of the American population has no idea what a success he is off the basketball court.
This is my kind of book and one that I give 5 stars to.
Despite the title of 32 Ways...this book is packed with many more than 32 ideas to be successful in business and in life. The stories are powerful and memorable and I will not spoil them for you by recounting them here.
If you are an entrepreneur, business owner, Sales Professional, business leader, business professional or want to become any of these you will do well to read this book.
I highly recommend this book and this is the kind of book that should be read or listened to again and again.
Loved this book and love Magic. He really pays attention to all, treats others well and gives so much of himself to others. Great to hear how he rolls up his sleeves to do the work himself. Like mopping a spill in one of his Starbucks. He’s not a spoiled star athlete but someone who realized it’s a blessing and is happy to make someone’s day by stopping for a picture or talking to another entrepreneur to hear their ideas.
For all entrepreneurs that are working their way up. This is a worthy read to help with the process. Magic uses his experiences in life (athletic/business) to provide a guide to any entrepreneur looking for direction. It’s a blueprint of what to do and when.
This was one of the first business books I ever read, and it taught me foundational principles for a business mindset. The most valuable takeaway was the importance of daily business reading if I want to become a successful businessman
Da detalle de que puedes hacer, como hacerlo para que puedas tener éxito en tus negocios. Detalla ejemplos de su vida que te permiten educarte financieramente.
Excellent. For entrepreneurs and those aspiring. Loved it. This book gave me a tip that I used to buy my first apartment complex. Funny it is not even a real estate book.
Magic Johnson was arguably my childhood idol. Growing up here in LA, he was basketball. I found out about the book cause of a book signing at the century city mall. I missed the signing but got the book.
The book is easy to read and lightning fast. Most of the general topics about business and doing what it takes to succeed, are all repetitive, but its interesting to learn about all of Magic's challenges entering the business world.
His tips are concise and really to the point. Its really a worthwhile read.
A must read for any entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur.
The following jewels can be used by anyone seeking to be the best version of themselves: >There will always be someone to shoot you down. Yet if you are passionate and work hard, you will turn doubters and skeptics into believers (pg 9) >The chain always breaks at the weakest link (pg 42) >Know what you don't know and listen to those with the knowledge you seek. (pg 79) >Doing well by doing good (pg 178) >Read, reflect, recognize and react (pg 237)
I read this book ~4 years ago. I could not STOP talking about this book to my circle of friends after I read it!! I learned much from this book. For me, this book is MORE about personal development & treating people kindly. There was some sage business aspects listed also, but BECAUSE of the aforementioned character trait in this paragraph, that's what made many people respond to Magic's personality & drive. Fantastic read!!!
This book is about Magic Johnson after his NBA life. He tells the reader how instead of going broke spending all his money after he retired. He decided to networked with other entrepreneurs that had been in the business for a long time and were successful at what they did. He also talks about he troubles going through being diagnosed with an diseased. And over this was a great book for young people that want to become entrepreneurs in life.
Magic tells how he learned to manage a business successfully by telling of his mistakes and successes. He knew he had lots of fame, some business knowledge, and great contacts. I learned even with this head start, you still can end up at dead ends. Not a great book but the right book for those who are wiling to learn from a winner.
Good read. Very motivational and gives you great background on Magic!
Reading this book gave me a new found respect for Magic Johnson the person and businessman. Let's just say you probably know he is building a business empire, BUT YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!
Wow, this guy is as amazing in the world of business and philanthropy as he was on the court.
This is an easy read and great for those who have zero experience in business! This book is extremely helpful and provides great motivation for an aspiring entrepreneur. Magic definitely gave me some great leads for starting out into the business world!
Very pleased with this business - success oriented book written in first person. Lessons were short with anecdotes, but may have more to do with author. Definitely will read other books by him in the future.
