Senagaki Isaku will be a first year high school student starting in spring. Her grandfather is the third head of the Senagaki group, a yakuza organization, so she is feared by those around her. However, starting from spring, she hopes to make normal friends and normally fall in love. She is admitted into a high school further from her hometown, however, the overprotective young head of the Senagaki group, Utou Keiya, (26 years old) falsifies his age and enters the school with her through a backdoor admission...?! Keiya proclaims that love is too early for her although Isaku is perfectly ready. In truth, she has held an unrequited love for Keiya for quite some time.

I picked this series up as it's been sitting on my to read list for a while.
I ended up devouring this series in 24 hours. It's sparked the whole mafia romance kick for me. I enjoyed the innocent relationship between our main characters and can't wait for the next one in the series to come out. The artwork is really well done.

This series continues to get trashier the longer it goes on though it hasn't quite fallen to the levels of Yakuza Lover. Outside of that it continues to get more boring too as nothing happens outside of the main pair's relationship which is very repetitive and dull itself.

COMMENTO PERSONALE: Sinceramente mi sono buttata a capofitto su questa lettura non appena mi è arrivata a casa. Mi mancavano molto i nostri Isaku e Keiya soprattutto a seguito della chiusura del quarto volume. Sono rimasta molto soddisfatta dal fatto che anche Mikio finalmente riesce a fare pace con se stesso per certi versi e ad aiutare proprio la nostra coppia in quanto nel festival culturale, dopo aver assegnato determinati ruoli avviene uno scambio davvero interessante. I due protagonisti continuano ad avvicinarsi sempre più ma arriva un nuovo personaggio che irrompe. Si tratta di una collaboratrice ipotetica di Keiya che mette a disagio entrambi e in modo molto sereno e tranquillo cerca di non far insospettire nessuno a tutti gli effetti. Isaku comincia a capire che non desidera distaccarsi per alcun motivo dalla sua guardia ed è consapevole che per qualsiasi motivo lui rischi la vita anche lei sarebbe disposta a correre il medesimo rischio. Poi adoro il fatto che cominci a farsi dei film mentali e decide di coinvolgere il nuovo personaggio per domandarle aiuto nonostante supponga che si possa trattare di una fidanzata possibile per Keiya. Il volume si conclude praticamente solo con la gestualità e l’incontro di queste due e deduco che ci possa essere un enorme battibecco tra le due e necessariamente un nuovo scontro e una nuova impossibilità. Il voto non è completo perché non so, a mio parere gli è mancato qualcosina rispetto al quarto volume ma come ho detto mi mancheranno da morire in quanto avrò da aspettare sino a luglio.

Ed eccoci qua, giunti ancora una volta al termine di una nuova avventura. Prometto che presto tornerò a parlare anche di libri perché mi manca leggere delle avventure su carta e quindi magari alternerò un pochetto. Per questo inizio giugno cosa farete di bello? Io sui libri a pregare che tutto vada come deve effettivamente andare

La storia di Isaku e Keiya continua e diventa più spicy, anche nelle tavole l’autrice osa di più. Esce di scena il fastidioso Tanuki e subentra nuovamente la dolce Kaori. Questo volume mi è piaciuto ancora di più degli altri precedenti. Isaku finalmente ha accettato il suo amore per Keiya ma ancora non si decide a fare il passo definitivo, d’altro canto, anche Keiya non dice le fatidiche parole e tutto resta abbastanza sospeso nell’ ambiguità. Si decideranno mai questi due? L’entrata in scena di un personaggio femminile smuoverà le acque? Sono fiduciosa, magari il prossimo volume sarà ancora più succoso. L’autrice ha scritto di aver sognato che la saga sarebbe finita con il sesto volume…. Dai Hatsuharu!! Non farci di questi scherzi !! 🧨

So... this is the slowest slow burn ever and it's getting quite ridiculous. I mean, I did my thing - ethics gymnastics done, but it's volume 5 and they haven't done anything!!!!!

This volume was... okayish? Rather slow? She kicked ass (literally too), he was cool. I will miss the other guy and I was hoping he will become a regular. But now we are introduced to the other girl - although not really the other girl because she is more interested in her than into her guard dog, so who knows.

Si no viera el age gap de 10 años le daría 5 estrellas porqué sí está muy cute. He leído mucho dark romance y libros con age gap, pero me sigue causando un poco de ruido. Ojalá la chica tuviera mínimo 18 y no 16. Pero bueno, seguiré el manga.

Lei e il suo cane da guardia è un manga che mi ha conquistata dal primo capitolo. Non riuscivo a smettere di leggere: tutto, dai personaggi alla loro dinamica, è adorabile e super coinvolgente!
La protagonista, Isaku, è dolce e determinata e il suo rapporto con Keiya, il suo “cane da guardia”, è semplicemente meraviglioso. La chimica tra i due è ciò che amo maggiormente: tensione, complicità, momenti dolci e romantici, tutto reso con delicatezza e cura. Ho adorato la rappresentazione teatrale di Romeo e Giulietta e, senza dubbio, ciò che rende questo manga così bello è l'attenzione che Keiya dona costantemente e esclusivamente ad Isaku: Keiya è gelosissimo e possessivo nel modo giusto, e adoro come la protegge e interagisce con lei con dolcezza e premura. Niente è più importante di lei ai suoi occhi.
L’age gap tra i protagonisti è un filino discutibile, ma onestamente… è un manga. Leggo tante recensioni critiche sull'argomento (in generale sia per i libri che per i manga) ed è davvero semplice: leggete la trama, informatevi sui triggers, se non fa per voi andate avanti. Non vale davvero la pena creare un polverone sul nulla e soffermarcisi così tanto. La storia riesce a essere emozionante, divertente e tenera allo stesso tempo e non stiamo certo parlando di due bambini!
Detto questo, il nonno di Isaku (con il suoi gattoni) è assolutamente iconico: capo del clan yakuza, è presente nei momenti giusti, aggiunge leggerezza alla storia e la rende molto più divertente!
L’arte è pulita, espressiva e cattura perfettamente le emozioni dei personaggi: dai gesti teneri alle scene romantiche ogni personaggio ha la sua funzione e contribuisce alla trama senza mai essere superfluo. Ma poi, dobbiamo parlare di quanto siano belle le copertine? E' la prima cosa che ha colto la mia attenzione in libreria!
Non vedo l’ora che l’autrice continui la serie!
