When her best friend is arrested for the murder of her boyfriend's ex, soap writer Morgan Tyler gets into hot water for meddling. Then a veteran actor's return spells drama.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
This was a solid 4 stars, and apparently the end of the series. Everything was wrapped up in this book except for one question leaving the author a lead into another book if she so desired.
Morgan is a writer for a daytime soap opera. She decides to bring back an actor who 10 years previously had gone upstairs for a nap and never came back down. He is a bit of a prima donna is putting it mildly. Meanwhile, Morgan's best friend Nancy is arrested for murdering her boyfriends ex-wife. Morgan is sure that Nancy is innocent and sets out to find the real killer.
I enjoyed this audio, it was well put together and had more than one storyline going at the same time. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Found on the library shelf and read before I realized this was 3rd in a mystery series. Morgan Tyler is producer/head writer on a soap opera in NYC. Her best friend is arrested for murder and she is determined to prove her innocence. I liked that you could go thru the thought process with her and she admits when she makes mistakes. I had the murderer pegged early but still enjoyed the mystery and will read others in the series. Clean language, non graphic. Nice chick mystery.
These are such fun Chick Mysteries! I was bummed to finish this one so quickly because it's the last one. A number of subject lines through all the books had closure, so she could end the series here or possibly continue. I really hope she continues this series. I really like reading about Morgan Tyler and Magic.
3.5 stars. What a great cozy series. It is actually more than a cozy series IMO as it has some deeper thriller qualities. I am sad the series ended with book 4 :(
Wrapped up nearly all ends for the series, with a reasonable guess being possible about what she'd think of mysterious Loverboy in book 2 who probably killed someone for her in book 3.
I am sad that this is the last in the Morgan Tyler series. I really enjoyed listening to this one. Wish I knew what would happen with these characters next.
Enjoyed this story line and was glad to hear more about Morgans past. She seems even more relatable than before. This book kept me interested throughout.
