The Belles of Texas #3

Skylar's Outlaw

Rate this book
Skylar, the youngest Belle daughter, is known as the rebellious sister. But her days of sowing wild oats are over--now her life's about running the family ranch and keeping her four-year-old daughter safe. And Skylar doesn't feel very safe around Cooper Yates, High Five's foreman...and a former criminal.

Cooper can't shake his reputation as an outlaw. Being framed for a crime he didn't commit is one thing. A stubborn boss lady making him feel he doesn't belong on the ranch--the only home he's known in years--is another.

But when danger threatens her child, Cooper has a chance to show Skylar what really separates the good guys from the bad.

I love all of Linda Warren's books! I think i read about ten of them at least. They're all American romances, they're all about cowboys and Texas. Yet, not one story is the same or shows similarities to the other. They all have their unique characters and story lines and ... they're all great!

Loved, loved this book. Then again, what isn’t there to like about a hero with a dark and mysterious past? Linda Warren manages to write such depth into her characters without getting bogged down in angst or going over the top. Her characters are real, likeable and sometimes not so much. Its the level of relatability that makes for a good read, IMO.

The hero is uber sexy and the heroine stubborn enough to get the job done without being a real pain in the butt. They don’t like each other at all in the beginning of the book which makes their coming together all the more sweeter. Skylar’s Outlaw is a must read as are the other titles in this trilogy. ~ Ana, www.ireadromance.com

I've been doing alot of reading of Linda's books thanks to my library. I really enjoyed this series and hate seeing it come to a close with Skylar. Its been neat with each sister and the nickname they had. I could relate to this one. Skylar has been hiding a secret and in this book Linda brings them out. I like her compliment being Cooper. For Cooper was convicted of a crime that ties back to... I will let you read the book for the answer or it would be no fun. These 2 coming together Linda does a excellent job of making the story interesting. As the story unravels you get to see more of Skylar's inner strength. Its well written and worth a read. I hope you will take time to visit this family. J

Found a handful of Harlequin SuperRomances in one of my TBR boxes. Snatched this short one up and read it in one night. Well done. Skylar is a feisty heroine who runs the ranch and Cooper is your loner/sexy/cowboy with a past who works for her. Good conflict and satisfactory heat. Not much for kids in a romance, but the heroine's little girl had heath issues and it did not overwhelm the story or the romance. I really liked this. Definitely recommend~

This is a sweet contemporary romance that was a nice, quick read. I enjoyed the slow building of trust and attraction between the characters, as well as the interaction between the hero and child.
