Dani travels out west to the BBR ranch to help her grieving sister get over the death of John, her sister's ranch-owner husband. Dani uproots her own life to help her sister and commits two years to stay at the BBR ranch. Dani meets two interesting men. She is very attracted to one of them but she doesn't think he shows an interest in having a relationship with her. The other man, who Dani is somewhat attracted to and has fun with, is interested in a relationship with her and makes a point to tell her. She becomes friends with both men and through these friendships and her work at the ranch she discovers many things about each of them as well as about herself. Dani comes to the conclusion that our willingness to wait reveals the value we place on the object we are waiting for, and unless she can have the man she longs for, physically, emotionally and spiritually, she does not want anyone. In the end will she discover the right path? Will it be with the man she is attracted to or the one who makes her feel good about herself as a woman? If a man is truly worth the wait, can she endure the waiting?
