I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is written in the style of an Agatha Christie or Dorothy L. Sayers (Lord Peter Wimsey) and it brilliantly evokes the period it is set in, the 'Golden era' between the wars, (1935 actually) and portrays the lifestyle of the wealthy set during that period. The story, a classic version of the group of people trapped on an island, with one of the group being a murderer is handled extremely well and there are lots of red herrings and twists to the plot to keep it very interesting. For those who are interested there are some delightful asides about clothes and shoes to give more depth to the story. I received an advance copy of the book, but this review is voluntarily written.
