Beautiful bright pictures that probably don't reflect the originals in their timbre but are beautiful to look at. The words describe his art and give an account of his upbringing and life as an artist with quotes from the man scattered throughout. I think what this book makes most obvious - from the brightly coloured pictures and the chosen quotes is the artists fascination with light.
Gotta have at least one of these. However... VVG did a lot of borderline stinky paintings in addition to all those great ones. He was a bold taker of chances. More power to him.
