Jack Dahlish #2

Memory And Sorrow

Rate this book
Sometimes the past comes back to haunt you.

NOW - Jack Dahlish has lived the last ten years believing that he got revenge for the death of his sister. During that time, he has used the coin that hangs around his neck to keep the peace between humans and the supernatural Nox who live hidden among them. When his friend, the bounty hunter Nyk Walsh, comes with an offer to help on a new job, Jack is confronted with the possibility that what he has always believed may have been a lie.

THEN - Twenty-four-year-old Jack comes home from work to find his sister gone. All that she's left behind is a note telling him not to look for her. Presented with evidence that he has been failing in his responsibilities as an older brother, Jack feels compelled to find his sister before something disastrous can happen to her. He's convinced she's fallen in with the wrong crowd, but he's about to find out that he has no idea just how wrong they really are.

Fans of Dresden should read this series!

I am a very big fan of this series read book one because it reminded me of The Dresden Files, the early books.
Immediately purchased two more and read the second.
If you like persistent PI's with a streak of humility you will like Jack.

Love it!

Brilliant fall down the rabbit hole of Jack's past! The chapters kept chasing each other and unfolding two intertwined stories that have been crafted beautifully. Never boring and difficult to put down, this second adventure of Dahlish is a pleasure to read.

Good read

For a short book it lacks quite a punch. I love the characters, mostly, and I like the store and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

not as good as book 1

I’m not a huge fan of flipping time periods. Overall this is a good story but not as captivating as book 1
