How it all began...
Unrest filled the political parties of the United States. Christine knew it trickled down to the American people but being twenty-one and in her first year of college, she longed to graduate and begin her life. But her world, her country, was about to change all of that. Disease and uprising spread as quickly as the wildfires that were set. As dissention rose, she was forced to defend herself and powers she never knew she had emerged. Christine quickly realized her old life was dying and in its place; a new life. If she didn’t prepare properly, she would never live to see it.

This is book 4 of the series. It is the prequel and it is amazing people. This is one of the best dystopian series out there. It's original, thought-provoking and in my opinion, one of the best written. I find the writing in the single POV to be best for this story because it is Christina, who is Willow's mom. We get to see hoiw she grew up. She had some challenges and this came right before the "plague" hit. The book is engaging. I guarantee that you won't want to put it down. You will be sucked into wanting to know w2hat's coming up next. Christina and the Frat Pack will take you on an adventure that you won't forget. This book had me feeling all the emotions and gave me a new peerspective into both Willow's mom. Yep, you need to read this.

If i could give this book more stars I would. It has been my favorite in the series so far. So many questions answered and just beautifully done. I was on the edge of my seat!
