Boring. Average super hero story with nothing memorable left in its wake.

Just bad. first two issues story (red ribbon) was stupid, boring, most of it just meaningless action with some "twist" into it. just can't understand why publishing that at all.
the second story is the conclusion to crooked from accursed vol 2. it was badly written, fast paced dramatic 80s action b-movie plot, but it is important for the rest of the story line of accursed at least for accursed 4 (which is way better than this one) and a first view of an important character for The Darkness: Rebirth. it concludes the story and opens a new tale, which seems dull and uninspired. the art work is fine but different than what we're used to for the darkness which for me was a downer, but its the only thing good in this vol.

*SPOILERS* down from here - for those who have better things to do with their money- so you can go to the next volume without wasting time and money:

the sovereign lied, estacado never died, his soul is not in hell, sovereign likes to torture darkness wielders and make them dance for him as some ex-darkness wielder dude with a stick tells him (you'll see him in Rebirth). after Sovereign's army crew tries to kill jackie and loses, jackie offers a job for the lone survivor to set up a crew to help him. anyhow, jackie fights the sovereign and in the middle of fight the sovereign call it quiets and goes away.
Jackie sets up a crew of "the best" in crime and violence he found to destroy every statue to hold the sovereign. which will continue in Vol 4.
yeah its stupid, childish, and badly written.

This comic would be nothing without the Darkness power itself, so it's making a comeback. Also, Jackie doesn't work under people for long, so the Sovereign has to go.
