This is a fast-paced, steamy story that was enjoyable to read. The characters are interesting, and likable, I liked getting to know them. This is the first book by this author I have read and it won’t be my last.

Luke Danvers lost part of his leg to an IED and since then has had trouble finding his place in the world. When Luke meets Kiley Endicott, he knows he has met her before so it isn't long before he realizes that she is the widow of one of his former friends. Her suggestion for a no strings attached relationship sounds fine to Luke until their family and friends get in the way and they discover that they feel more for each other than they planned.
Taboo Frequency suffers from trying to put too much story into 107 short pages. The book offers very little in the way of character development and the plot is almost nonexistent. The sex scenes are the only things holding the story together, and there are several of them. Overall, Taboo Frequency is a disappointment.

A lovely story about mature people that meet for the pleasure of sex and then get fond of each other and turn into affection and love.
The author has a wonderful sense of humor that is visible in both main characters’ POV.
There’s a lot of explicit sex – an important plot line. It’s curious that it is the hero, a wounded warrior, that wants the relation to be more than sex.
Very cool, I’ve really enjoyed it!

Since coming home from the war Luke has been fighting a battle with himself and his missing leg . He got lost in the alcohol and self pity . Until the day he sees his friend and decides to get his life together. He is doing pretty good and even better when at his buddies bon fire party he meets Kiley . She is her friends twin sister and someone he knew from before . She has changed and so has he . They are instantly attracted to each other but both have lives that they are busy with. But Luke has a different plan to not let Kiley go . Will they get their happily ever after .
This is a hot sexy read with fun characters . I love Luke he is broken but when he is with Kiley he becomes a hot sexy beast . He is still nervous about his missing leg but with Kiley he is brave enough to show her . He is a tease and a romantic at heart . But he has been hurt and doesn't want to be hurt again . Kiley is a young widow who is kind of a wild child . She is smart and sexy . She starts out with just a hook up and it ends up being so much more . I also loved the meddling family members all checking Luke out . They were hilarious .

Hot steam comes right off these pages with wild pleasure that will steam up your glasses. Short, hot and wild sexual pleasure that will rock your world. The author hits on some very tough topics that face our vet in a world that has gone crazy. She does it with class showing how life affects them as she adds wit and humor making this a win win for me.
Two people touched by war both hurting, both needing more than life has dealt them. Luke has just about given up turned to alcohol which just isn’t working. He has a turn of events starting to bring his life around. In walks Kiley who has issues of her own. I really liked Kiley she is strong and does the best she can. She stands up and takes her responsibilities strong. Together they have a wild fun time which changes both their lives.

As feeling grow life changes that itch now they have to work out if they have the same itch. TABOO FREQUENCY took me by surprise in a couple of ways. First, given its length, I was surprised to find that the romance is not insta-love. The story takes place over months and the love blooms little by little. My second surprise came early in the story when we learn that Kiley is the one who wants to keep things casual and secret, while Luke goes along until he can reel her in.
This is my first read by Gem Sivad, but it won't be my last. I enjoyed her writing style and wit as well as her talent for creating some wonderful characters that made me want to know more about them. The book is well-written and easily finished in one sitting, making this entertaining, steamy tale perfect for a quick, bedtime read that will leave you with a smile.

Taboo Frequency is a first for me from this author.
A widower who lost her husband to war.
A man who lost his leg in war.
Both Luke and Kiley have needs but neither have the time to hassle with dating.
Luke is trying to get back on his feet again and work on getting his life back together.
Kiley is raising her twins on her own now and doesn't want to follow in her mother's footsteps of with a revolving door of men coming and going.
What starts out as an non-committed commitment turns to love.
I enjoyed this story. Kiley was a very independent woman who was trying to do what's best for her kids. I enjoyed that she wasn't a simpering whinny woman.

A nice spicy story in Sable Hunter's Kindle World. Luke is an Afghanistan veteran, having lost a leg in combat. When he awakes from the fog of alcohol and depression, he attends a party at a friend's home. He meets the widow of a young vet he had known years before.
She sees something in him and decides to use him for sex only. Raising twins alone, Kiley is afraid of becoming what her mother was - a single parent bringing a parade of men home in front of her kids.
Despite their misgivings and their determination, they fall in love anyway, leading to an HEA and a whole new business in their town. Well done.

This books starts out with Luke suffering in many ways after being hurt over in Afghanistan.
After he pulls himself together he starts up a "relationship" with Kiley. Kiley is widowed with twins and doesn't want a relationship, just someone to fulfill her sexual needs. Luke agrees to her terms but eventually finds himself wanting more. However, convincing Kiley is going to take some work.
This is a very steamy story. It's a quick read and to the point. I enjoyed it and look forward to more from this author

What do you get when you combine a wounded war veteran whose life went sideways and a veteran’s widow who never really had a chance to have a life at all? You get one hot couple who move from an agreement for a no strings attached, sex on demand arrangement to head over heels, can’t live without you love and commitment. Luke and Kiley start by setting the sheets on fire and burn a place in each other’s heart. You’ll find yourself rooting for them all the way because each deserves the love and happiness they feel with the other. This is a story that will leave you smiling broadly.

Loved It!!
This was an exceptionally good read in my opinion. I love romance and this felt so real. I loved Luke for his diligence in following Kiley's stipulations, understanding why you don't introduce "uncles" to your kids. The stealth tho was too funny, in a small town?
This was just so well written that I truly felt a part of it, emotions and all, and That's a great read!!

Secret Agent Man
Loved this book.
Gem has a talent for sexy intriguing books.
When this book started, I was skeptical. Waking up at 3 a.m. I was wondering what I was getting into. I haven't had a book hold my attention for a while, but I ended up finishing it.
Luke was injured in the war. Kiley lost her husband to the war. They are both searching for something and find each other.
Love the HEA and the storyline.

A book chocked full of hot and steamy and 100% for mature readers only. This author did an excellent job of creating these characters personalities, which made empathizing with their situations in life much easier. Pairing a disabled veteran with another veterans widow made me very curious how they would reach their HEA. I actually saw the sense in starting them off as secret one direction booty calls. Being a novella, this makes for the perfect quick erotic fix.
