Everything that comes to us belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it." The Vertical Path takes us on a insightful and thought provoking journey to our inner self and realisation in a way that is simple, spiritual and practical too.
- The whole subject matter here has been masterfully organised and very well researched. - With each passing chapter the author takes us a notch deeper to throw light on the tools that we need to master in order to battle through the rut of life. - Though the chapters here are just 3-4 long , their impact lasts a way longer in the mind of the readers and keeps them intrigued till the end.
- Throughout the narrative the author tries to explore a wide range of topics ranging from spirituality to healing, self transformation etc. and yet doesn't let it turn boring at any point. - The metaphysical concepts and lessons discussed are eternal and can be applied easily by anyone in their lives. - Simple and easy to understand language has been employed throughout it's writing.
- The book overall makes an attempt to make the reader aware of the need of transformation one needs to bring about in all layers of physical action, mental reaction and emotional feeling. Not only that the subject matter also pinpoints the differences between "Awareness and Realisation" which are generally perceived as same. - The cover and the title both seem totally appropriate wrt the plotline. - The writing style here is highly convincing and I would love to read more from the author.
Overall for me it was a highly informative read! Highly recommended for all those who want to make a positive change in their lives.
First of all, this is a self help book. But unlike other self help books, which helps in achieving physical goals, this book helps in making peace to the self-soul.
The author described the progress towards human personality, character and ego as a horizontal path. Whereas vertical path is all about the soul. The book is about how to deal with various situations, people, emotions and even ourselves in the vertical path. The topics include karmic relationships, self power, patience, forgiveness, prioritize, self-love, self-trust, giving up the need to seek approval, anger, communication, resilience etc. At the end chapters, there are given some bullet points which one can directly apply to self.
This is an excellent self help book, especially when all you need in life is peace of mind. Along with peace of mind, applying these concepts gradually will definitely ease one's life. Chapters are very short, one can easily pick up the topic from contents and go through the chapter whenever one feels low or need guidance on how to handle a situation.
Having just received an unwelcome tempest of medical updates, I happened to pick this one from a friend's book shelf. For some interesting excerpts and an honest review, please visit my blog post
