A man and his wife who were soon to get divorced decided to take one last cast together. A owner of a hotel called them for help to investigate a murder at his hotel. Things were weird going on there. The wife kept thinking she was seeing things , a man , blood on the floor and bed. After awhile she was ready to leave. But things kept happening to them from leaving. Seems this town had this love for a little girl who was missing. What did all these murders have to do with it. Good ending tho.
The characters in this story need a lot more work and the overall premise is too far fetched to be believable. It might work in YA Horror genre. The editing is clean and the pace is good, but I couldn't relate to any of the people in the story. I don't know how else to put this, but the main characters were a couple of idiots. Wimpy, wimpy, wimpy sums them up. And what's with all the dead trees? Beetle blight, maybe? For a short novella, it was a struggle to get through.
I gave the book a three star just because. I though it was boring and didn't make any since to me.
A husband and his wife are detectives and was called to investigate a motel in Shadow Hills. They go, they try to investigate the murders and find out a child is missing. No one will talk to them, things go boom in the night, so they try to leave and can't. It's just a messed up book. A little stupid and unbelievable.
If you love horror books, this one is for you!! A couple, who happen to be Detectives, get a job in a creepy little town. In a motel, that looks abandoned, they find out, that things are not quite like they were told. Can they figure out, what's going on and survive the job? Guess you'll have to read to find out...LOL
Wow what a great story. Kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to find out how the story comes to an end. I would recommend this short story to anyone.
