4 “You ready to get dirty?” stars
Hemy
Hemy is the man with more piercings that inhibitions, he's all about a good time, a good fuck whoever it may be, one of the most sought after strippers at the Walk of Shame ... he does what he does and doesn't apologize for anything, it's the only way he can forget the biggest mistake of his life.
Onyx
Onyx isn't the same sweet girl Hemy remembers, she's grown up colder and stronger... living the life that gives her what she needs in order to take care of her and her friends.
Chance encounter, one they weren't prepared for, sent them both reeling into the past, trying to hide the hurt, pain and frustration. Four years is a long time, but one never forgets and its time to show Onyx what kind of man he is now.
Onyx needs to hurt him the way he hurt her, how could he effect her still, she came back for one reason and while it has everything to do with Hemy, it has nothing to do with them. But the damn stubborn ox won't take no for an answer...
It's so easy to fall back into bad habits especially when it's Hemy playing her body in every which way he can...
Hemy may have learned to deal with his past, even if it still haunts him to this day, but with Onyx back he may just get his second shot he needs and he isn't letting anything take her away. Onyx is torn between the secret she holds and what she feels for him, knowing one way or another Hemy will never be hers, especially when he finds out the secret she's been keeping.
Hemy is the second book in the Walk of Shame series, and I enjoyed this one way more than the first. Hemy isn't some egotistical cocky bastard, he is the one you go to when you wanna take a walk on the dark side. He was a dirty talking bad boy that had some deep dark demons, and you can't help but feel for him, root for him and wish him a happily ever after. Onyx for me was a bit harder to get to know, she had some issues, secrets that made it hard to open up even to me as a reader. The story is told from both their POV so you would think that would help, but there was just something about her that wasn't as welcoming. The sex is hot and dirty, the dirty talk delicious and exciting and the story was overall heartbreaking. Can't wait to see what's the author has in store for Stone ;)

Here is the second book in the “Walk of Shame” series…We already lost Slade to love in the first book and now it’s Hemy’s turn. When it comes to sex..Hemy doesn’t have any boundaries – he will do just about anything and it makes for a very hot and erotic story. The sex scenes in the beginning of the book are “knock your socks off” steamy.
I am never disappointed when I read a book by Ms. Ashley. She definitely knows how to write a book about hot men and hot sex!
These books especially when it has to do with a set of male erotic dancers who are pretty messed up in the head along with the women who capture their hearts.

Drugs and drinking found a way to chase away the only good thing in his life and now he follows a path of self destruction. A wonderful follow up to the Walk of Shame series that has a dirty talking male heroine with a pierced c*ck, steamy sex scenes, some voyeurism and even F/M and F/M/M action!!
Add on top of that, some depth and a vulnerability that is so fervent and compelling, and you will be immediately sold!
Hemy is very raw, passionate and realistic, as well as persistent toward what he wants which is Onyx. So endearing yet sensual and adorable at the same time.
He is a character with flaws and faults who comes from a tragic past. He doesn't handle his circumstances well, and in turn, takes for granted what good he did have before it costed him dearly.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be here for you like you were there for me. I just...I had to numb myself from the world. I had a constant storm of f*#cked up memories in my head that consumed me. I can't change the past, but I can promise you better for the future."
Sounds like something that occurs everyday in REAL LIFE, don't you think?
Onyx, on the other hand, (and btw, what a cool name!!), is a woman full of heart but spurned by love. I admired her strength and determination throughout the read and understood her plight and motives for why she acted and behaved the way she did. It was very honest.
Only thing is...not all good intentions mean positive results and Onyx learns this the hard way:
"I never meant to hurt anyone, but you have to understand that Hemy is a different person than the one I knew years ago."
#So all in all, another plus this erotic series!! I REALLY loved the dynamic of Onyx X Hemy on their road towards their own HEA!! I will definitely be on the lookout for more from the men of the WOS and can't wait for Cal's story!! I would have actually preferred a novella dedicated toward Stone and his lady love (I freakin' ship them btw!!) or even a Nico read but beggars can't be choosers! Haha.

We finally get to Hemy's book, the wild stripper that we met in Slade's book. He's the one everyone wants...females and males and he's only too happy to please.
Well, I just have to say that I was prepared for a much different book. I didn't expect Hemy to be so sweet and so singularly focused but I'm not complaining.
I really liked Onyx but she has a secret...and she's been really hurt by Hemy so I totally understand her hesitation. The secret has some clues but I was still pretty blown away but how well VA integrated it into the story.
Phewww, is this book steamy or what? Well, what do you expect from some hot strippers?
Hemy and Onyx are off the charts hot and I don't know, there's just something about a tough guy being super gentle!
There's another couple starting to possibly get together and I'm all for it. I really hope they get a book. We don't really get much Cade in this book but I'm really excited to read his story since his book is next.
And the ending? Well, of course, it's good. Hemy does everything well. ;)

After reading Slade I just had to have Hemy’s story too. I really enjoyed Hemy and all of his sexiness.
Once again we got an extremely sexy hero. There is just something about a hero with a pierced cock that turns me on. I also loved the fact that even though he was a big sexy man that he showed a very emotional side.
The story line was ok, it just was not enough for me and it left me wanting more. I felt for Hemy, the bit of a backstory we got was heart wrench, but I felt it could have been so much more.
For me the heroine Onyx fought to much against her attraction to Hemy. I kept asking myself why she fought so hard against her feelings if she truly loved him that much.
Overall I did enjoy Hemy Just not as much as I enjoyed Slade. I felt this one could have been so much more. With that being said, I’m dying to get Cale’s story which is to be released sometime next month. I’m also wondering if we will get Stones book too, if so I’m jumping all over it!

Damn, I didn't like that at all. I take the blame, the overwhelming masses can't be wrong can they?
It just didn't work for me for a dozen different reasons......
To be fair, I should have known better. I love a bad boy. I love an alpha dickhead. I do NOT love a man-whore. I simply do not. Hemy is a man-whore stripper. Now, I've seen Magic Mike, I could drool over Channing Tatum's sexy ass dancing. Hell yes! But date one? Fuck no! Knowing that should have been enough for me to steer clear. It was enough to keep me away from book one, but the blurb of this one drew me in.
Beyond the man-whoreness, the dialogue felt forced and cheesy, the story paper thin, character growth, development was non-existent, and then there were these moments that it simply didn't make sense. I had to go back and re-read because it was just worded wrong in my mind.
I'm torn between thinking that the story needed to be longer, with more background of their original relationship for me to connect, and thinking that if it has been longer I would have DNF'd it.
IDK, it just didn't work for me, but I'm sure it will have a lot of women loving it. It DID have some damn hot sex scenes where we learn that Hemy likes it DEEP. Are we ready to take it DEEP? He only knows hard and DEEP. Are we sure we can handle it DEEP? (DEEP was quite repetitive)

Why did I read this book? I honestly don't know. I was weak, simple as that. Cover lust, blurb lust, just lust. And I regret it all. No offense to the author, but there have to be limits. Because, and I'm saying this as calmly as possible - soap operas are more reasonable then this. So many things wrong, out of character and just not possible. Zero structure. It's like a bad case of Magic Mike romance. And the girl turns out to be a stripper too. Just. No.
The sex was weird too, the angst there and probably the one thing I liked here, but everything else too staged out, pilled together into nothing. Where's the purpose? Where are more reasons? What kind of lifestyle is this? I didn't even understand what they did with their lives and how. It's a mess. Please try to put more plot next time. It was all sex, not one bloody honest-to-God date or a sweet thing. I'm sorry, but this is just my opinion, I hope I don't offend someone.

HEMY AND ONYX
Where on earth do I start with Hemy. To be honest, I wasn't sure Hemy and I were going to connect from meeting him in Slade, because some of his actions are well "blush worthy..." BUT after I read the prologue of the book, my stance changed DRAMATICALLY. The first teaser is a little snippet that sucked me in and made me want to read more. Victoria wouldn't allow me to post this teaser in the beginning for her fear that people would misunderstand Hemy. I, on the other hand, was caught with this one segment, because I am a sucker from broken characters. This one segment told me that Hemy was going to capture my heart and run with it.
Was I right? Hell yes!
I loved Slade, but to me Slade was more of a sexy read, because when you really got to the depth of the story it was over and that's okay, because it was executed so beautifully that the end left you in a peace that you knew they got their HEA. Hemy was different, because the story line was there all along. Each chapter made you love him more and more because of his love for Onyx. I felt so bad each time he was paying for his original mistakes between them that I just wanted to give him a hug and slap Onyx to say wake up, he's in misery WOMAN! You can feel how tragically broken he is over what he did. His feelings for her leave you captivated and biting your nails throughout the story, because you're so afraid he is going to live the rest of his life yearning for her. It's the saddest thing in the world to witness in the front row seat a character so torn over another.
As the story progresses, you begin to understand Hemy's reasoning behind a lot of his behavior and that is what saves him in your heart. As human's we do a lot of questionable things in heartache and I feel like Victoria developed Hemy's character beautifully. When you can start out in doubt over a character and come out on the other side holding that same character in your heart forever, you know the author did a phenomenal job in his development.
Onyx-- Oh what do I say about the sexy badass blonde with tats that DRIVES A HARLEY! When I first met Onyx my thoughts were, here is a girl that has her shit together, and completely in control of her own destiny. I WAS WRONG! See, I love when my thoughts start out one way and then BAM you're left thinking SHIT I was so wrong about her. She's just hiding behind a facade this whole time. There were times I wanted to just hit her over the back of the head and say OKAY YOU'VE MADE HIM SUFFER ENOUGH. HE GET'S IT. HE FUCKED UP ROYALLY and then there were times when I thought FOOL ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU FOOL ME TWICE SHAME ON ME and was left with okay Onyx I get it, but look at how pitiful the sexy stripper can be over you. Damn what a shame.
Halfway through the book I was sitting back wanting to bite my nails over these two. The sexual tension was YIKES just give in to each other. Both of you NEED this. Well, you WONT be disappointed. IT'S HOT, EROTIC, BLUSHWORTHY, FAN THE FACE STEAMY. I have noted gifs down below just to show you how much I thought so.
I get to the end and literally could not put it down. It depresses me when I have to cut time in my reading/ editing because of my schedule, BUT by the end I was thinking JUST ONE MORE CHAPTER... I found myself so engrossed in the end that I had to know what happened. The secret, the lie, the pride... too much, okay not enough, okay I'm lying it was bloody perfect.
Last chapter, I'm thinking I love the turns of emotion throughout this book and then I LAUGH reading the last chapter. Effing brilliant! Leave me with an ending that has my heart beating erratically and feeling light at the ending scene. Not only does it have anguish, sex appeal, aggravation, but LAUGHTER. The PERFECT way to end a story. I will not give away a thing, but it was not what I was expecting!
BONUS: Stone's personality will steal you away! Watch out Slade and Hemy, because Cale and Stone's ending note leaves you wanting MORE!

I loved Hemy! I was glued to every page, I'm so interested in their world. I was happy to have seen previous characters, I love this series and Victoria's writing is absolutely stunning.
Hemy lost the love of his life Onyx when he couldn't cope with his past. So when he sees Onyx back in town after years of being gone, he takes the opportunity to try to prove to her that he's changed and wants her back at all costs.
I love the way that he did everything in his power to get her back. His determination was admirable, he came a long way. He's damaged and learning about his past really broke my heart. Hemy is different from Slade because he was already in love with Onyx when he was pursuing her again. Hemy was a romantic and determined to get Onyx to fall for him again. Slade hadn't fallen in love yet.
The twist I did not see coming, I think that's the best way to do it cause I was surprised.
I was happy to see older characters and I want to know more about the new ones. I can't wait for the next book.

OK I've settled down a bit now after reading Hemy I needed to take a step back and get some air this book was hella hot!! From the opening to end this book had me bitting my nails. It's that good. I love love hemy from his personality down to amazing sexy good looks. It's hard to believe how much he changed from when he first started dating onyx. He was mess but it took him losing her to clean up his act. So I don't blame her one bit for leaving him he deserved it. It made him change. She made him a better person. I mean no I don't agree with some of the choices she has Made. But in the end this woman loves hemy till no end. So I see why she did what she did. Amazing book I definitely want more of Hemy. I still think a threesome between hemy, aspen and Slade would of been amazing lol. 10 stars plus!!!!

Okay, so I have three words that sum up my thoughts on this book. HOT. AS. SHIT. This author either has a sex-life or an imagination that is out of this world. This entire series oozes panty-melting, thigh-clenching, run-to-the-store-and-grab-extra-batteries erotica.
In the beginning I wasn't quite sure how I was going to feel about Hemy. He was cocky and big-headed (pun intended). When he reunites with Onyx, we get to see that sensitive side of him. His tortured soul makes you fall in deep for him as well as become very protective. There were times I wanted to bitch slap Onyx and say, "shit woman…he has been through enough!"
This book will put you through a roller coaster of emotions and leave you panting in the end.
I don't like spoilers so I will just say that this is, by far, the hottest, most erotic series I have ever read.

Victoria Ashley has written a sultry addition to the Walk of Shame series. Hemy blew me away. While I loved Slade, Hemy was a bit more well-rounded and his man-whore transformation was more believable.

H.O.L.Y F.U.C.K. I didn’t even get to the end of chapter one before I needed a cigarette and a cold shower....and I don’t even smoke. I waited (impatiently) for this book. I (professionally) stalked Victoria Ashley because I wanted Hemy, hard. Pun intended. And OMFG, he was totally worth the wait!
Years of dirty, meaningless sex with countless women and men haven’t lessened the ache Hemy Knox feels for his girl....The one he broke. The one he let walk away when he lost himself to drugs, alcohol and pain. The one that’s back and refusing to let him back into her life....and her heart.
Onyx can’t let herself get hurt by Hemy again. He has to prove that he’s turned his life around – and he’ll do whatever she asks, whatever she needs, to do that. Even if it means he has to suffer. His girl is back. He wants her like no other and this time, he won’t let her walk away.
Can Hemy convince her that he’s a changed man? Will Onyx open up her heart...or will he once again lose the only woman he’s ever loved?
In case you’re wondering how much I love Hemy, let me give you an idea... My phone autocorrects his name to all-caps. Shouty caps. I don’t just say Hemy, I scream it – and that’s the way it should be. Because HEMY, the character, is awesome. His memorable appearance in Slade made that book for me. And Hemy, the book, was awesome, too. It was the right mix of all the best parts of erotic romance – steamy, sexy, dirty, raw and tender. Wait, what? Tender? Yep. Hemy and Onyx together, as they relearned each other, was sweet and their chemistry was equal parts gentle and scorching hot.
There really wasn’t a thing about this book that I didn’t enjoy. Secondary characters – including a glimpse of a reformed Slade and his girl, Aspen – were funny and enticing. I loved Stone, and I absolutely cannot wait for Cale’s book to come next. Onyx was strong, and her quest to keep Hemy at bay was believable – even if I really wanted her to cave...or let me take her place.
And Hemy. Oh sweet baby Jesus in a basket.... HEMY. He was broken and hurting. He was filthy and hot. He was determined and unwavering. He was everything I hoped for when I opened the book.
And did I mention chapter one? Because it’s worth it just for that. What *comes* after is also worth it, of course, but H.O.L.Y F.U.C.K. Hemy + a sexy-as-fuck ménage + a second chance at love = a book that was definitely worth the wait....and the cost of batteries.
Hemy is the second book in the Walk of Shame series and can be read standalone, although you really don’t want to miss Slade. No cliffhanger. ~ Beth, 5 stars.

Hemy Knox is a stripper at WALK of SHAME. The story starts off with him waking up with a chick he had no recollection of spending time with on his lap asleep while he was shirtless. He wasn't sure how he got there. To make matters worst, his girlfriend found him in that same position...the unknown chick half naked laying on his lap, while they were both past out. He's had a rough past and for him, getting intoxicated and high was the way to numb the pain he's feeling. He lost the one and only person he ever truly loved, which was his sister Sage. He didn't think that he was capable of loving anyone else other than his sister. When he came to realize that he was truly capable of loving someone, it was too late.
Onyx is the girl who fell in love with Hemy but she wasn't sure if he felt the same way for her. It broke her heart every time she sees him being touched by countless girls who wants to get in his pants. She hated it when she would find out that Hemy was high and drunk somewhere and be surrounded by women and had their hands all over him. She's not sure if anyone had ever got in his pants while he high and drunk. She couldn't stand it any longer that she left him without looking back. It was one of the hardest things she's ever done in her life.
Four years later, second chance encounter and all bets are off. All Onyx wanted to do was to not let Hemy in once again. Hemy made it his mission to make sure that he gets her back into his life. He did not let anyone get in the way of his plan. As for Onyx, I love that no matter how many years it had been, that tingling feeling she felt four years ago when Hemy was around was still there and same goes with Hemy. Onyx tried to deny the feeling that tugging gut feeling that she had to have him, even for just a little while. She didn't plan on getting back with Hemy.
This book was so freaking hot that it had me fanning myself. It totally grabbed me from the beginning. It was unputdownable and you will need extra panties if you are willing to read this HOT and WILD book. Victoria truly knows how to get you hot and bothered. I can't wait to read about Cale.
