Ever After by Nitya Dalmia 📚

I received the book as a part of the review program in Outset" with outsetbooks.com

"Ever after" is a quintessential teenage angst story that provides deep understanding of the teenage dilemmas. Though, I have not read the first book of the series, this book had enough blasts from the past for me to comprehend it completely. The language used in the book was simple and lucid.

"I suffered from Athazagoraphobia. A phobia of being forgotten. It almost seemed like I was useless. Like it wouldn’t matter if I existed or died."

The narration was from dual point of views. The transition from one narrator to the next was cohesive. The writing style was articulate but juvenile. The tone of the entire book was teenage angst and it was quite solemn. There were a few happy and light hearted moments along the way as well. The characters were well written but each naive in their own ways. There were deep inner conflicts within both of the main protagonists.

"Trust comes with relationships."

The story was about Riya and Raynak. Riya had left her old school in Woodlock and joined a new school. She was depressed and had a lot of trouble fitting in and it took her a while to find a group of friends. She eventually found peace in this new environment. But her past came to haunt her yet again. Then the narration shifted to the past and we get see the circumstances that lead to the change in schools.

"Love was not easy cause, we made it that way."

The latter half of the book was solely narrated by Raynak. We get to see how their relationship blossomed and perished. They both changed through the course of their relationship and did irrevocable damage to each other. Many philosophical questions and monologues about gender stereotyping, revenge, jealousy and love were present in the book.

"Relationships are more complicated than anyone had imagined it to be, especially for teenagers like us. We think dating as something that boosts up our reputation or if you like someone you should date them but there are too many strings attached with this."

The ending was a cliffhanger which means there is 3rd book in the series. I'd recommend this book to middle schoolers and teenagers.

Book- Ever After
Author- Nitya Dalmia
Format- Amazon Kindle
Rating- 4/5
Review-
What to say, it’s an immature rom-com? Or a random story of finding yourself? Nitya Dalmia’s “Ever After” is one of less explored genres written by Indian authors. And this is the 2nd part of the trilogy series. And I am so glad I came across this one.
So the story revolves around two characters- Riya and Raynak. Riya had to move to another city and entering a new school isn’t easy as it seems to be. The trauma of losing friends and the fear of making new, is one of the difficult phase one goes through, and those who have gone through this, including me, knows the turmoil. And the second perspective of the story, is from Raynak’s side. According to him, 4 months’ time isn’t enough for him to fall for her. Few months of knowing each other and few meets aren’t enough to fall for that person. Now I don’t want to be spoilsport by telling the whole story. So, have a read yourself.
This series will make you revisit your school and teenage life, where breakups, patch-ups, relationships, fights and insecurity, peer issue was a big factor for us. Okay, admitting it’s a bit immature, but worth one-time reading.
A book for school romance lovers. Special mentions to the cover of the book. Can’t wait to start reading the 3rd part of this trilogy series.

Sometimes we just see one side of a coin, one side of a story, and we just forget to look another side of the coin and the story, the hidden part that is the real story, that can change our view and perspective forever.
The story will lead the readers to their school days, the nostalgic incidents and the events that we can never forget.
The story is about Riya and Rayank, Riya's life changed completely when she left Woodlock. The emotional turmoil and the introversion changed her life upside down.
But as it said, we find happiness in things we least expect and the same thing happend with Riya too!
And after that the readers will also hear the story of Rayank, the another part of the coin.
I loved how the author narrated the story from two perspective and the way the author showed emotions from two different characters.
Simple yet lucid language is another plus point of the book.
The readers can easily relate the characters.
The cover is really eye-catching. I really loved the colour combination and the art!
Overall, a good one!

This is a young adult book. Its the sequel to the book 'stuck up'. The story is about two teenagers, Riya and Raynak. It gives us the narration of both sides of the coin, one qith Riya'e point of view and the other qith Raynak's point of view.

Riya moves to a new place and deals with anxiety and depression. She deals with the anxiety of meeting new people, making new friends and accepting an entirely new place. Her world seems to be upside down. She seeks help from her therapist qith whom sge can talk to about everything without the fear of being judged.

Moving to a new place and meeting new people might not seem like a big deal when we are adults but as teenagers its like changing your entire life for once. As someone who has gone through this change I can relate to it to some extent. Teenager insecurities and naivety is like that only. It may seem immature now though.

Raynak on the other side deals with his own issues like commitment issues because of which he could not let Riya in. The girl who liked him a lot, he couldn't tell her yhat he also actually likes her. He too speaks to his therapist about it all. Now what happens to their respective lives next is for you to read. Also theres another part coming up of this book. Hopefully soon because the last part keeps you hanging!

I like how the book concentrates on littlest things about mental health among teenagers. Teenage is a very important and delicate phase of our life. And sadly there aren't many people concentrating on their issues. The author did an excellent job in penning down the emotional turmoil that both the protagonists go through. You can feel it while reading it. The plot keeps you engaged from the very beginning and for the author to be able to do such a good job at such young age is really commendable. I wish she write more such good work and get all the success.

When I first began reading this book I thought this was going to be another flirty teenage romance. But then I realised this book had a completely perspective. It spoke about feelings. Feelings and fears teenagers have in a relationship.

There are 2 parts to this book. First part talks about the life of the girl. Her life has been turned upside down and she is slowly trying to get over it. It beautifully portrays her process of adjusting to a new place and getting over a traumatised past. I think it talks about some very positive social issues that plagues today's generation. The author has wonderfully captured the essence of these seemingly simple but very pertaining and important issues.

The second part of the book was a different pov and I really liked the way it was written. The emotions of the boy were described very well and the character was developed steadily at a good pace. The incidents were described elaborately with a lot of precision and the thoughts behind every action was delved into beautifully.

However, I felt that the book lacked some amount of coherency and flow in the story. I felt all the little nuances could have been connected more fluidly. Also, the first part seemed a little too verbose for me. It was necessary at some places for sure, but the style could have varied a little too add more intrigue to the book.

Overall, a really good read. When I learnt that it was written by a 15 year old, I was shocked because the book definitely dealt with a lot of emotions that require a lot of maturity and experience to understand but was portrayed really well by the author. I loved that it addressed social issues too. A very bold attempt by a young author.

I would recommend this to any teenager who needs some good advice to deal with life and to break a taboo.

School days, this one word gets a nostalgic smile of everyone's face. This is the most enjoyed and later on treasured period of life. But when we are in school we are desperate to grow up and taking an independent stand, those stupid dreams and desires and the best humour of our life (at least for me). But have you ever thought about the thoughts  and feelings of a school going teen-ager..? Here comes another story of young school going teen-agers by a teen-ager.

This book is the sequel of Stuck Up, the story of Riya and Raynak. Story begins with the change in Riya's life, Riya has changed her school but she's missing her Woodlock gang. She is in a new place, a new school, among new mates but with the haunting past. With time Riya finds new friends and tries to settle in the new ambiance, but how will she face her past?

The best thing about this book is dual narration, the second half of the story is narrated by Raynak. Riya and Raynak shared the fragrance of young love, but things did not end in a good way. That past massage Riya to charge her school and the same past got Raynak suspended. In the second half Raynak tries to understand what happened and how his life has changed. I enjoyed this part of the book when a young teenager tries to introspect and define some hard and deep emotions.

Over all this is a lovely story about school-goers by a school-goer. I was never afraid of moving places or making new buddies, that was super fun for me; so in this way I'm a little different from the writer but yes I thank her for turning me nostalgic and searching out my old gang. The story is easy and the write-up is a simple read (will be done in few hours) but in past two days I tracked down by old friends.

💟Title-: Even after

💟Author-: Nitya Dalmia

💟Review-: The book even after is a romantic novel by Nitya dalmia and most interesting thing is that she is just 15 years old, and writing this kind of beautiful novel is at this age is truly appreciable...
.
The cover of the book is nice & have a different look, which makes it interesting!!
The book is totally based on teenagers life. The kind of situations, emotions, feelings are faced by teenagers are showed in this book greatly. One can relate with all these situations coz everyone have to deals with all this emotions in their teenage.
.
So the story goes around Riya and Raynak; I like these two characters and also the narration of the characters are very well.
So the first part of the book told about riya, she is a teenager who changed her school by which she goes through a deep sadness. Cause she didn't cop-up with the new school environment, she missed her old friends, faced troubles and feeling alone like seriously one can relate with this because at this age everyone need time to get set up in new environment.
.
And the second part of the story talks around Raynak who was a young boy goes through a relationship which is filled with both love and at same stage there is hate too. Here we see some cute teenage love story... Both Riya and Raynak goes through a heart break and after this, they goes through a heeling part as well; which was beautifully shown..
.
All around a good read for me , language is easy as well and would reccommand to all...

Ever after is a fictional book written by Nitya Dalmia. It is the second book of the series Stuck up, I haven't read the first book but I'll be reading it soon. The main protagonist of the book is Riya and Rayank, both are school students. Its is divided into two parts: the first part is of Riya, who is trying hard to settle in the new school and environment. The second part is of Rayank, who love someone and is going through the phase of teenage love and hate.

The cover page of the book is simple and great with the suitable title. When the book is related to some teenage things, more people relate to that book. Some peope find it very hard to fit in the new environment and with new people. It all depends on the various people. I find this book very relatable, because of the problems and experiences the author has written on.

I like the plot of the book and the idea behind it. The foremost thing is executing the idea perfectly so the reader know the thought process. The feelings and emotions are described very well in both the parts. The portrayal of characters are done very well and explained. We know the character inside out because of their past and present.

The language of the book is simple and the wordplay is not strong enough. The writing style of the book is lucid with great understanding. It is the best series for beginners and I'll wait for the next book to know what happened.

Ever After, the sequel to Stuck Up, revolves around Riya and Reynak and their quintessential teenage dilemmas.
.
Therefore, the book is written from two different perspectives. The first part of the book takes us on Riya's journey once again. Riya, a 14 years old teenage girl, has shifted to a new school in a new city to start anew. She goes through a lot of difficulties, trying to fit in. Everything seems weird in this new school. Eventually she finds her place in this new environment and in a new friends group. But her past keeps on haunting her. It pulls her back to the core. She left Woodlock physically but mentally she isn't ready to give up on her old life and friends.
.
We witness the second part of the book from Raynak's point of view. A young naive boy who falls for his friend. But his vulnerability gets the better of him. Unable to tear down the invisible walls around him, he barriers this one girl from getting in.
We see a story of love and hatred. We see a beautiful love blooming and perishing.
.
But how did this happen? What exactly led them to damage each other beyond repair?
And the biggest question of them all- will they ever be able to overcome the ghost of their past?

Have you ever had a fresh start in a new school? Cause I have, 5 times. There is no feeling in the world worse than this. New classmates, new friends, new atmosphere, new teachers, new courses everything new."
This novel seemed relatable to me, not in whole, but at some moments.
The story told by a 15 year old girl, and it worth read 15 times, I am not exaggerating, almost all of the ideas worth to be discussed. The book clearly defines the relationship between family members especially parents and child. There love etc. And bond between friends and colleagues or classmates.
The story is about two school students named Riya & Raynak . The first part of the book was narrated by Riya, she left her old school in woodlock and joined a new school. She try to adjust her life there but her past incidents are started to hunt her. The second half of the book was the story of Rayank, a young boy, embarked on a beautiful journey of love and hatred. Both of them are facing some issues in their life, because of those they had to go through a phrase of counselling to recover.
I congratulate the author because hrough her novels and blogs, she makes the world a better place for people to live in.
Lets appreciate this kinds of work more and more.

Ever After is a sequel to stuck up. Riya and Raynak are two teenagers around whom the story revolves. The author narrated the school life, teenage anxiety, love, attraction, silly anger, fears and inferiority in a wonderful way that the story would feel relatable to the high school students.

The story is narrated by Riya and Raynak. The language is simple and the flow is good not making the reader bored. Taking into consideration the age of the author, must say the story has been well written and the emotions have been portrayed excellently. All the characters have their role and few parts did take me back to my school days especially what Riya felt when she had to go to a new school leaving her friends in woodlock.

The cover is attractive and I felt the title could have been more intriguing. I am eager to read the next part of the series because I really want to know what's the worst nightmare yet to come. The new school and the change in the mindset of Riya is one of my favorite part in this story.

"There are two things in life that one should never feel- one being guilty and second being regretful"

This is one of my favorite lines from the story.
Overall, I would recommend it to all those who enjoy reading teenage love stories.

Well, what was the feeling when we had to change schools and move to another one, make new friends, get out of our comfort zone! That was terrifying, right? The protagonist had to keep this drill going numerous times and she is dreaded to do that once again! Well in the storyline, something interesting happens with the author when she is obliged to change her school this time. Overall an entertaining read, but this book takes the readers through a roller coaster ride of emotions, nostalgia, and Mixed emotions! The cover is eye-catchy and suits the storyline impeccably. Language is lucid and easily comprehendible! The book becomes all the more interesting in the second half when Ranyak starts narrating his part of the story! This book is filled with teenage confusion, love, and hatred! Most of the readers will relate to the characters! The author has touched on many issues such as anxiety, teenage competition, fear, and romance. The flow of the book is good and it can be enjoyed by beginners also. It is the sequel of another book, but the need of reading the first one is not necessary. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy reading this book!

In the month of love, let's have a glimpse of teenage love ie. "Even After" but the uniqueness of the book is that this book is written by a teenager Nitya who is just 15 year old and relatable to the life of all teenagers.

The  story revolves around Riya and Raynak the book is divided in two parts
First part of the book is about Riya , she is a teenager who changed her school by which she goes through a deep sadness. Cause she didn't cop-up with the new school environment, she missed her old friends, faced troubles and feeling alone like seriously one can relate with this because at this age everyone need time to get set up in new environment.

And the second part of the story talks around Raynak who was a young boy goes through a relationship which is filled with both love and at same stage there is hate too. Here we see some cute teenage love story... Both Riya and Raynak goes through a heart break and after this, they goes through a heeling part as well; which was beautifully shown.

The book is crafted beautifully and the characters are well explained, I personally appreciate the work of the author who has done a wonderful job at this age. Highly recommended.

Ever After - Nitya Dalmia

My Perspective:
The book has a creative side that I enjoyed reading the most. It includes the perspective of different people which is interesting. The storyline was very relatable and connective because we find things like this happening in our life or around us.

About the Book:
The book has a very attractive cover in purple(of course one of my favorite shade). It has 2 characters sitting and an illustration of a man behind the title.

About the Story:
This story is the sequel part of “Stuck up.” The story revolves around the perspective of two people- Riya- a girl who recently moved to a new town and Raynak- a boy who falls in love with a girl but he wouldn’t let her in his life. Since the story was relatable and easily connecting to our lives and of people around us, it is quite engaging and interesting.

About the Author:
Nitya Dalmia, the Surat-based author of this book is a 14-year girl. She has released her debut book Stuck book and then this sequel, where both are inspired by her life experiences and her friend’s stories around herewith some extra addition of romantic angle as she loves the romance genre.

How many times we thought that changing a school would have so much impact on teenage. This book talks about two parts one dealing about the phase of changing school to other and in second half protanogist falls in love, wherein the love gets blossom. This book is the sequel to the stuck up. Although I didn't get the chance to read that but it has some splash of the previous books in few scenes.
The characters in the book are Riya and Reyank. What happened with Riya when she shifts her school from Woodlocks to Surat in a mediocre school. Will she be able to accept/ adapt the new school. This book is bifurcated in short chapters throughout which make easy to trace the events quite easily. In second half dealing with the heart break and healing process is involved.
The language is quite easy and understandable. This books deals with the actual dilemma of teenage life which they encounter. Dive into this book to came to know about all. I'm anticipating another book of this series.
Recommended to teen!!

I loved how the book was written so smoothly and I was genuinely attached to the book. Being a female author, I was fascinated by how the author showed the male perspective so clearly and nicely. The emotions and pain, the feelings and the rant on how crazy and hectic a teenager's life can be were so relatable. The reason I cut 1.0 star is that Ever After is the sequel of Stuck Up the first novel by this author and when I read the girl's perspective...I couldn't understand many incidents that were a part of the first novel. I was somehow confused but when the boy's point of view comes up, the confusion does get unfolded somehow but not totally. The way the story is plotted and the concept is written is just so unique. I have read a thousand books on love stories but not one that talks about break up and it's effects on teenagers and as this novel has a cliffhanger so the 3rd book is coming too and I am waiting. I highly congratulate this author for having such great success at the age of 15 only. Loved the book

Teenage, an age which is fragile and needs love and attention, to shape one's own personality. Teenage comes with self doubt, self dilemma, the opinions are raw and the book is a perfect gist of it.

This book is written by a teenager, which made it even more special for me to read. Also, it added to the perfect "content" for teenagers.

The book has two parts. Initially Riya's life and later, Raynak's.

Riya recently shifted to a new school, the new city, and experiences problems while adjusting whereas Raynak is a part of her past. Riya describes her story from her perspective and Raynak from his own, which makes us understand how important our perspective is, in dealing with a situation.

I am in love with the beautiful cover of the book. I find it to be really really cute. Also, the description given is perfect for someone to pick this book up!

Though the writer needs to work a bit on her vocabulary but, this is surely a nice read for teenagers.

This is my second book by the author. This book is a sequel to its first book Stuck Up but it can also be read as a standalone book.

What will be thoughts if you had to change your school and meet new friends? While some would feel excited, many might have to go through a lot of emotional turmoil for leaving behind their school, friends and might find it difficult to make new friends. This is one such story of a girl Riya who has moved to her new school and finding it hard to forget her previous school Woodlock and her friends.

At first she feels it impossible to cope up with the new life and with her past haunting her it becomes more difficult that she had to consult a therapist and attend sessions. I liked how the story is shown from the perspective of both Riya and Raynak.

The character building and narration are very good. The language is simple and lucid. There is no much of a romance in the story, as it focuses on teenage love. Overall it was a good story.

Book : Ever after
Author: Nitya Dalmia
Review : The book is a teenage romance novel.
The book is sequel to stuck up and can’t be read as a stand-alone .
The story was narrated with two perspectives one was Riya and other was rayanak.
The transition between the narratives is smooth .Riya had left her old school in Woodlock and joined a new school. She was depressed and had a lot of trouble fitting in a new environment.
Where troubles from her past still haunt her. Will she be able to overcome her uncanny situations and lead her life.
Read on to find out.
The drama is explicit, shows a lot of teenage angst, love ,loss ,familial bonds, the archetype of shifting to a new place.
The situations are described vividly but writing seems a little juvenile.
Characterisation could be improved.
All in recommending this book to teenagers and high school romance lovers

Ever After by author Nitya Dalia is a story about teenagers.

Plot is about Riya and Rayank, both are teenagers studying in same class, so what happens between them narrated in their own words. Who is Riya, who is Rayank, how they meet, their anxieties, insecurities, happy moments, their backgrounds, families, bonding with parents, chemistry between them, misunderstandings/confisions, their friends, classmates and teachers, peer pressure and more get answers to all of before and more by grabbing a copy.

Plot is OK, narration is simple, personally felt little lengthy. Author has captured/penned a teenagers mind, inner conflicts and student life superbly. Character portrayal also appear real. Some instances written refreshes readers own life's school days.

Overall a nice read, would recommend to young readers.

EVER AFTER
- Nitya Dalmia

'Ever After' , this story speaks about a stage of our life which we can relate & through this story Riya becomes the main character with a significance .

After leaving Woodlock, Riya's life was so so shit as
she ate alone during lunch and feared a 10-meter walk in the hallway, though as a teenager, she is trying to fit this all . But , this story takes another angle when in a new town Riya tried to find her happiness & a new journey began .

On other hand, Raynak was a young boy who fell for his friend. Then, the author shows how one lady could change his whole life though their love story was not so easy .

I really appreciate the writing style along with the theme which the author portraits very well .

Last but not the least , I would like to give 4.7 out of 5 to this book .

This amazing story by ‘Nitya Dalmia’ revolves around the teenage life of Riya and Reyank. This book is a sequel to the book ‘Stuck Up’.
The book is divided into two parts. The first half of the book is about how Riya tries to fit in her new life once she changes her school and is now in a completely new city and in between different faces. It’s about how all she thinks is about her past all the time. She eventually fits in with her surroundings but still her past haunts her. While the second half is about Reyank who falls in love with his friend.
One may find this book very relatable being a teenager. The language used is easy to understand and the story is very gripping. Romance genre lovers can totally read this book. It is easily available on kindle. Would recommend it.

'Ever After' is the sequel to the book 'Stuck Up' ,both is teenage romance novel.
The story revolves around a 14 year old teenager named Riya. She recently transferred to a new boarding school, where she finds it difficult to adjust, she misses her of her old school, Woodlock. The first half is narrated by Riya and second half by Raynak,a guy from Riya's past.Their relationship went through many changes which had a huge impact on both of their lives.I personally liked this book. The characters are well developed. The language used is simple and well written which makes it beginner friendly. I recommend it to everyone who loves romance novels. It will be an enjoyable read.

THIS BOOK IS YA ( YOUNG ADULT).
IT IS A SEQUEL TO STUCK UP AND THE STORY IS ABOUT TWO TEENAGERS.

I HAVEN'T READ THE FIRST BOOK, YET THIS BOOK IS VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND.

THIS STORY IS FROM TWO POINT OF VIEWS.THE FIRST HALF IS FROM THE GIRL RIYA'S POINT OF VIEW AND THE SECOND HALF IS FROM RAYNAK'S POINT OF VIEW.

THE HAS SOME VERY NICE AND HAPPY MOMENTS.

"YOU FIGHT LIKE A GIRL....
I KNOW AND I FIGHT GOOD"
THIS LINE IS MY FAVOURITE ONE FROM THE BOOK.

THE COVER OF THE BOOK IS VERY SIMPLE YET BEAUTIFUL AND ATTRACTIVE. BOTH THE CHARACTERS ARE VERY WELL WRITTEN.

OVERALL A VERY NICELY WRITTEN BOOK BUT IT ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER.

The plot has two main characters, Riya and Rayank. The book is being narrated by these two characters thus it has two perspective. This makes the book a little interesting.
Riya has to leave and shift to different surroundings. She has to adjust in the different school and all.
While Rayank has fallen for his friend yet he is not sure of this.
The first half is narrated by Riya while the other half is from Rayank. This is the second part of the series. It has all the elements of perfect teenage fiction. Different issues faced and dealt by the teenagers is being included here. The language is lucid.

A book which is written from the perspective of two charachers, Riya and Raynak. Books like these compel us to look at other’s life. They ask us to step into the shoes of others and then look at life.
The protagonist moves to another place leaving her old school and friends behind. The readers can feel her heartache deeply. Well I was moved by the story and narration

This book is exactly what you would expect from a teenage love story. I am not saying it in a bad way or a good way. If you enjoy some angst and romance, this book is definitely for you. The book worked for me as a light read between my studies.

Riya has changed schools and is feeling miserable. The story slowly unfolds the incidents that lead to her changing schools. Why is her past still haunting her?

The story is told from Riya’s POV and Rayank’s POV. I enjoyed Rayank’s story more than Riya’s. The characterization was good. The narration was okay. The book was enjoyable but as a piece of literature there is a lot of scope for improvement.

I received this book in exchange for honest review.
