How far would she go to save someone who may exist only in her dreams?
The novel deftly manages to combine both thriller and fantastical genres, along with a good dollop of romance, and without resorting to clichés and sentimentality. This is a significant achievement and the reader is skillfully drawn into a love story intertwined with murder, interwoven with a special agent thriller. – Andrew Salomon, award-winning thriller author.
The For years, Claire Baxter has been haunted by dreams of an FBI agent.

The She has no idea who he is or if he even exists.

The Right before her college graduation, a dream reveals his brutal death in a massive explosion.

A single touch and not-so-normal Portland girl Claire Baxter can glimpse your future. She doesn't consider her clairvoyance a gift, it’s a curse, hindering her quality of life. Her parents raised her with the rule that she should keep the secret at all cost, leaving little room for relationships of any kind. To add to her burden, FBI agent Byron Black now haunts a series of sinister dreams. He's the only person she's seen without a physical touch and the night before her final college exam, she dreams of his death.

Does he exist? Will she find him? Can she save the countless lives affected by a blast that will crush steel like paper? Or is it only something her bizarre mind conjured up? I loved this book and was engrossed from beginning to end. Nicole is a very engaging and better writer than most. I’m sure that this book has all of the elements it needs to make it a success. – Accomplished editor Michelle Bovey-Wood.

OMGOSH!

How did I know I was going to be insane at the end of this novel. I waited with baited breath after the first, and while worth the wait, I am now feeling like , arghhhh, no words!
First of all, Ms. Putter, you're a terrific writer! Descriptive in all aspects, characters, primary and secondary, etc. Situations, well done, the car chase when Claire and Byron where separated was terrific. The details, minor and major of Claire's "gift" and her growth from childhood to adult, her fears and the why's of the fear, simply as I already stated, excellent descriptive writing for each situation, interaction, characters, and settings!
Secondly, amazing story line, completely addictive! So much so I thought, yesterday's release of this novel would never come to be... And now...

NEXT, PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book has all the elements of a crime thriller with a little bit of romance. The characters are realistic and the story line unfolds at a good pace. I ventured with Claire on her uncertain journey, wondering what will happen next and meeting interesting characters along the way. The end is very unpredictable and I would love to read the follow up books of this trilogy. For a new author this is very good effort, I really enjoyed it.

Ms. Putter's debut novel is an action-packed thriller with an unexpected ending and a great beginning to a promising series.

He was the man of her dreams...literally! Claire Baxter can predict the future when she touches someone. However, she's never touched FBI Agent Byron Black, she had recurring visions of his future since she was 14 years old. When she sees his death in her latest dream, she is determined to find him and figure out how to save him, but will it be too late?

Agent Byron Black's life motto is 'trust no one, and no one can betray you'. He's a workaholic with no time for relationships. So when a young skinny girl suddenly appears in his life with outrageous predictions of seeing the future...specifically his ominous future, his emotions are all over the place. But as her predictions start to come true, he's intent on helping her get to the truth as the clock ticks down.

It took me a while to warm up to the pairing of Claire and Byron. I guess I expected more from Byron being the mature FBI agent. I felt he let his emotions for Claire take over far too soon for all of his experience with dangerous situations. As for Claire, she came across a little crazy and too flippant sometimes considering she was trying to save the world.  And for Agent Taylor Penn who is Byron's partner and the third POV in the story, I felt she was put in a difficult situation since her partner didn't confide in her from the beginning. It's unfortunate what resulted in her single-minded search for Byron and Claire.

I recommend this riveting romantic suspense thriller to those who enjoy interesting characters and an unpredictable ending.

Thank you to Ms. Putter for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

This is the first book in the a series by a new author Nicole Putter. It takes courage to write and publish books and sometimes those stories comes to life and other times they do not quite make it. This book is one of those stories. The story has an interesting premise of a girl who sees the future that can change the future depending on how she reacts to the information. Claire has a dream she can not ignore and a person she needs to warn even though she has never met that person.

The story is very slow moving even when Claire finally meets the man in her dreams who can't decided if she is crazy. While Claire comes off as a young girl naïve who fell in love with a FBI agent from her dreams. When in fact she should be more level headed young adult who is trying to prevent the end of the world.

While the two try and stop the world they have sex. Her first sexual experience because after all they have sex before the world ends.

A Shattering Glimpse fails to delivery what readers are giving in the synopsis of the story. The story lacks excitement, characters who connect and realism needed to have a convincing story.
