Interesting characters

I read about 400 books a year and have done so for about 70 years now. I read very fast and with that kind of volume, it is difficult to find storys that are not formularic. I have pet peeves, especially the books that drop brand names of so called "designer" brands as though they were nouns. You know the thing, he or she isn't wearing shoes, it is "designer name" on their feet. Yawn! Less than 2 0/0 of the world's population has green eyes, except in novels, where they are as common as brown eyes... Barf. People are billionaires in novels these days, where they are a dime a dozen. Everyone is gorgeous. It gets old. I avoid those books now. Anyway this book avoids most of the usual sins and still manages to tell a good tale without resorting to these tacky gimmicks. I like the relationship between the detectives. And, damn, no car chases, shootout chases across rooftops or other unlikely senarios. Amazing. I did not guess who the bad guy was either. Nice going. And,, wonder of wonders, cooperative suspects? I will be back for more of these books.

Fast paced who done it, or who done who

Great mystery who done it with plenty of who's doing who, plus the why's, what the heck, and where'd that come from a "why didn't I see that coming" ending. Really fast paced, great one sitting read. Mr Kipling knows how to engage the reader from the get-go; you feel you know where he's leading you; but he wins the "got ya".

Just read this book and was very disappointed. Many mistakes in the text, the characters are not gripping or interesting and not a very good plot. Honestly not worth the read! What a shame

Entertaining story about two murders and how they are related. Variety of characters and lifestyles that blend in with today's ever changing world.

This has the potential to be a great story, but whomever edited this needs to change careers. The typo mistakes, grammar, punctuation....it's astounding.

So many mistakes

This book had a weak plot, and a poor ending. It was a short book but still managed to ramble .
