The Rites of Corruption From the foul realm of Malfeas, hidden in the Deep Umbra, the most powerful servitors of the Wyrm hatch their plots for world destruction. The heralds of rot and decay spread into the pure realms to plunder and corrupt. Gaia dies and the Wyrm laughs.
A Storm of Destruction The Balance has been shattered. The Wyrm wraps its coils about the world and squeezes. Before such a horror only the Garou stand uncorrupted – but for how long? The end is nigh.
Book of the Wyrm includes:
• Detailed information on the Black Spiral Dancers, the hideous "lost tribe" of the Garou. • The subsidiaries of Pentex Incorporated and their machinations for power and conquest. • Traits and rules for hordes of creatures, Banes, fomori, dread Incarna and many more minions of the Wyrm.
Basic Concept: A deep dive into all that is nasty and evil in the World of Darkness.
You've got your Pentex, your Black Spiral Dancers, your fomori, and more here. Everything an ST needs to destroy the planet and those pesky werewolves trying to save it. There's a lot of great flavor material to horrify your players with, as well as some solid crunchy mechanics to make your bad guys work.
This is one of the best Apocalyse sourcebooks I've read yet. It had a lot of information about the Wyrm's minions, especially Pentex, the Black Spiral Dancers, Banes and Fomori. Definitely a must have for any Storyteller interested in running an Apocalypse game.
Read while sick in bed, which was, honestly, probably a good way to get into the mindset of a Pentex-heavy campaign.
Its kind of funny how this and Freak Legion have prefaces warning you about how edgy they are, but mostly its just gross stuff. There's certainly mention of some sick evil (e.g., rape), but its actually fairly brief and rare. This book isn't nearly as gross or offensive as the fucking Beast sourcebooks.
Surprised there was zero on the mockery breeds in this.
