I think I might be the minority here, but I honestly love Aya. He's confident and like I said before; he knows what he wants. He doesn't wallow in what could happen and makes himself known. Towa still doesn't know what he wants and he really should be surprised if he loses out to Aya. In his love or basketball life.

Also, somebody tell me that Mitsuki can't be that dense?! I don't know how she can't tell that Towa likes her.

Off to read volume 6 and to cheer for Aya!

We really do need more shoujo romances where the heroine tells the potential romantic interest that he's making her uncomfortable and needs to stop touching her. This is an unusually healthy romance while still adhering to genre norms, and one I'd feel better about recommending to actual teens than most.

This volume was adorable with all the characters going to the amusement park. And in this trip we see the main character, Mitsuki is even more confident now with being able to express how she is feeling even to her love interest, Towa. I also loved that she was getting to a point she feels like she can express how she feels for him. And Towa is finally coming to terms with his feelings for Mitsuki. Not only is she showing confidence with Towa and her guy friends but with Reina as well in being able to tell her she is doing a bit too much. Also the little moments with Aya were great as well, especially since he was able to get her to understand him. Their entire time together was so good. Overall, I love both of the guys in the love triangle and I would be happy with either one, if we didn’t already know who she is going to be with in the end.

This volume was adorable.

I like the fact that our main character isn't afraid to voice out if she is uncomfortable to her love interest at all. I don't see that often or at all in shoujo manga . So this seems such an healthy relationship that I'm so happy to continue and see what else is at store for the characters.

The ferris wheel and water fountain scene🤭🥰 I’m so glad Towa isn’t afraid to admit he likes Mitsuki to his boys but he needs to freaking tell her because Aya seriously can’t take the word “no”. Aya’s character is sooo infuriating.

The first chapter was readable, then I skimmed the rest. Still in it for Ryuji and I don't hate the main couple or Rui.

Please, I’ve never been so conflicted over a love triangle in my life. I ADORE Aya. And the glimpses of his past juxtaposed by his dedication in the present? Someone hold me.

Content: Ferris wheel, Towa gifts keychain and almost kiss, fireworks date with Aya, Towa gets in his feels and impulse invites FMC to fireworks, hand squeeze and hug! Ends with us finding out there’s a joint practice and Aya declares war hehe

Love when a protagonist tell that she’s uncomfortable with a situation! 🙌🏻

The two guys are competitive, I just hope Mitsuki doesn't get hurt in the process and that they respect his choice.

I like Towa better, but he must try to be a little more confident not to lose Mitsuki.

I honestly can’t stand Aya but it was actually more about their friendship in this volume which I like. I’m really hoping they will be best friends and he stops being so annoying.

Overall manga review:

A great series with unconventional yet super fun friendships. The character dynamics were great and there were many hilarious and embarrassing moments.

The romance was well-written but never balanced between the two male love interests. The protagonist clearly loved the main love interest only. The second male love interest, who just so happened to be the protagonist’s childhood friend, was extremely pushy and forceful. His every advance was evaded and unwanted yet he still seemed to think it was okay to pursue the protagonist. At one point she outright told him to stop but due to seem weird aggressive competitiveness between the two male love interests, which likened the protagonist to some possession to be fought over or some game to be won, he continued.

The sports element of this manga was refreshing to see and I liked that it was given just as much importance as the romance. I liked that the games weren’t predictable, but in the end the match that mattered between the two male love interests didn’t at all go to plan in a way that made it all feel so unfinished. I’ll admit it got a bit tiresome seeing all the characters take the basketball so seriously like it was life and death to the point that the protagonist was not only understanding but also expecting the main love interest to love basketball more than her.

Aside from some weird and questionable aspects this was a great and enjoyable shojo romance/sports manga!

This was literally so cute but at the same time full of tension. The characters are really undergoing a lot of change (even before they say they want to change for the better) which is really impressive. The art style is adorable and very consistent. It's allowing for character growth and for cuteness. The plot is splendid. (A little scattered, like all the rest, but I'm enjoying it)

The extras in this one (specifically the one titled Rivalry Part 1) are so adorable! Completely recommended!

Aya-chan needs to back off! Seriously. But otherwise it was absolutely perfect, as always. ^^
