This was a very good story. Zack was actually in book #3 Tequila Sunrise and I liked him in that story. I was happy to see him get his own HEA in this story.
Iris is a demon of seduction but went straight 70 years ago, not wanting to damn men's souls any more. She took a job and a social worker and tries to live a normal life and keep her demon side locked away. She has a neighbor, Zack, that she's very attracted to and has developed feelings for but she wont let herself consider being with him because she's afraid being with her might hurt him.
Zack is a werewolf and a police detective. He fell for his next door neighbor, Iris, but he believes she's human and wouldn't be able to handle him. Zack tends to need to dominate in bed and he stays away from Iris because he's afraid he'd hurt her. He goes to Last Call to find ways to satify his needs but he still wants Iris.
Iris and Zack are brought together through a little interference by Caitlin and Leo from book #4 Virgin Daiquiri. Zack sees Iris in Last Call and realizes she's not human like he thought and goes after her. Iris explains things and tries to resist Zack thinking she's not good for him but Zack wont be put off and convinces her to give him a try. Iris doesn't think it'll turn out well but figures if she's going to scare him off with her demon side, better now than later. They indulge in a night of hot and heavy sex and it soon becomes apparent that Iris and Zack work well together and Zack isn't scared off by Iris' being a demon. They end up talking things out and decide they can make things work together. Since they both already had some pretty strong feelings for each other and had just been repressing them until now, the story ends with Zack and Iris solidly together and planning their HEA together.
This was a very enjoyable short story. I liked both Iris and Zack and liked the way the story worked out. I'd recommend it for people looking for a short, hot PNR. :D

Ok...so this is Zack's story. Zack form Tequila Sunrise. So in Tequila Sunrise you learn that he is in love with a human he could never be with because he is a wolf and he would damage her (physically and emotionally). So he goes to Last Call with is friend Leo (the demon from Virgin Daiquiri) to let off some steam. Leo is there waiting for his girlfriend Caitlin and Caitlin's best friend Ianthe, who is a demon. Zack thinks it is a set up, he is not interested, so he goes to the bar to order a drink.
Ianthe walks in, sits with Leo and Caitlin, and her attention is drawn to the bar. She sees Zack. Zack sees her. Zack is sooo shocked and doesn't understand why the human he is in love with, Iris, is at a paranormal bar and sitting with his best friend and best friend's girl.
Then it clicks....
He takes Iris (Ianthe) back to her apartment so they can tell each other the truth. Iris is a powerful seductress that just wants to give up control. Zack needs control. They are perfect for each other and learn that through a night of passion but I think this is the only Last Call book where the main characters are actually in love before they do the do :)

I love the Last Call series. They're naughty, naughty fun and you end up liking the characters ridiculous amounts. In fact, we've met Zack before and his dominance games in the bedroom are hot. His threesome in book 3 is *fans self* whoa. However, he wasn't given a HEA in that book. He's an Alpha who needs to dominate and the lady he's going for is too fragile for what he wants to do to her. Or so he thinks.
This book brings Leo and Caitlin (book 4) back and has them meddling in the affairs of Zack and Iris. Zack doesn't know Iris is a demon and Iris is afraid to let the power simmering inside of her out. Still, Zack manages to break down her walls and the two tumble into bed. Which is no less than I'd expect from a sexy Alpha who's found the woman he wants to be with.
The sex is hot, the characters sparkle and seeing some old faces at the bar made me smile. All in all, it was a quick, deliciously naughty read that left me wanting to go back and reread all the previous installments.

I've read the other Last Call books, although I am a bit confused about what order they are written since they appear to have been published with one pub, then released as a self-pub by the author...
I enjoyed this one. Short and sweet, the hero and heroine have had the hots for each other for years, finally get together, discover each others deep, dark secrets, have hot sex and fall in love.
A quick, hot read.

Awwwwww! Zack from Tequila Sunrise gets a HEA.
Fun, fast, sexy, what's not to love?
There's lots of talk within about how he's Dominant, and at the end this thing about how a mere hooman couldn't have survived his burnin' love. Ok, the sex is HOT, but about as vanilla as you can get. Maybe I'm just desensitized?
I loved hearing about Leo and Cait from book #4, Virgin Daiquiri. They play a big part in bringing Zack and Iris together and AAAWWWWWW!

When we met Zack in Tequila Sunrise I really wanted to him to find a happy ending, so when I realized that this series had Zack, I couldn't read fast enough. I loved that Zack's human was anything but human. Iris was great, even better was she had been pining for Zack as much as he was her. I loved that they were able to be together like they wanted.

Normally Moira Rogers (a writing team of 2) is an auto buy for me. I quite like much of her stories. This one was not one of the ones I liked. I didn't understand the background which led to me not really caring about the characters. Definitely very sugar kinky - more alpha male. It needed much more back story to form a cohesive narrative. Not for me. I'll stick to her other books!

I downloaded this novella as part of the Last Call series set. I Really enjoyed the concept of a supernatural bar where your drink order announces to prospective partners what you are looking for. I'm pretty sure I disliked this story line because I didn't connect with Zack in Tequila Sunrise (3). The story was okay, but not my favorite of the series.

I like the premise of the series, and I liked Zack in Tequila Sunrise. Iris didn't feel very demon to me though, nor did Zack feel very dominant. Because Zack is introduced in a previous installment the story feels more complete than the others, but still I wouldn't have minded a bit more body.

Lovely to see Zack - the third member of the threesome in Tequila Sunrise - finally get his HEA, but again it wasn't long enough to get invested much in the characters. Still, it has a great cover and it was nice to see Caitlin and Leo again from Virgin Daiquiri, too.

This is a great story. We get another chance to see Zach, who is so hot. This is his story and it's wonderful. He's in love with a human and thinks he can't have her. She's not really human and get conned into going to the Last Call... read it to find out the rest! Fun, fast, sexy hot.

This one seemed like it went a little faster then the other last call books but I guess it was because we got some the back story in Tequila Sunrise. I loved seeing Zack get an book though because I loved him. Even though it felt a little rushed it was smokin hot as usual.
