Calm. Cool. Collected. And on fire with her touch. When a human woman appears accusing the Rakian warriors of unleashing a creature that is devastating her village, scientist Kennet agrees to investigate. Even if the woman is loud. Brash. Irresistible. Drawn to her side in a way his logic can't explain, when the true nature of the crisis erupts all around them, they'll be thrown into unforeseen danger. Together, can they trust each other enough to defeat an enemy neither the warriors or the settlers expected? The fourth action packed science fiction romance where warriors of science meet their match in women from a lost colony world!
This is the fourth instalment in the Rakian Warriors series, and this time it’s Kennett’s turn to find love. Kennett is a scientist, and lacks the social skills for interacting with the humans. But the opportunity to undertake the solving of a mystery that has overtaken a small village and its water supply leads him to his mate. I loved this story, I love Kennett, and I couldn’t put this one down. I am really loving this series, it is well written, and is full on action in every book.
The last of the Rakian Warriors, Tennet, finds his mate in Zuri. As with all the mates of the warriors Zuri has a gift. She can hear and send her thoughts telepathically. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book that will include Matilde and Tirus. (a prince)
Scientist Kennett is used to facts, figures and logic. When a human woman called Zuri appears accusing the Rakian Warriors of unleashing a creature that is devastating her villa he knows it cannot be true but does eventually agree to go and investigate. Zuri has a talent - the one of empathy with animals which means she can sense their feelings. This proves helpful as they both investigate the identity and source of the creature through many dangers. They need to learn to trust each other to defeat an enemy that no one expected. Can they save the village and then part ways after everything they have been through?
I enjoyed this story which introduced another race of aliens to the planet as well as a new mate to one of the warriors. I enjoyed Zuri who was incredibly sassy and at times just argumentative. Kennett certainly had a dramatic time out of his scientific experiments and it was charming to see that he had not lost any of his fierce protection skills as he did whatever he could to save Zuri and the village. Easy to read and understand it contained a little sexual content.
This was the unit's scientist turn to find a soul mate on this strange planet. Kennet is all about data , experiments, discovery. When a female from a village high in the mountains come to accuse the Rakian warriors of bringing a deadly animal to her village. She demands Kennet fix the problem. Zuri, is a animal whisper she can understand thoughts and feelings , she's sassy head strong and knows what she wants. Kennet doesn't know whether to kiss her , fight with her or maybe a bit of both😘they head off to her village and along the way they discover a mutual attraction. While falling head long into love they track down the source of the monsters and help the village solve one of their problems. but there seems to be more mysteries left to find answers too! This series is so good each book builds on the previous with lots action and passion and forever love. Can't wait to read the next💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Kennet is the scientist on the ship. A no nonsense kinda guy. Zuri is there to have the "Starmen" take back the strange creatures attacking their animals. On the trip back Zuri is calm with all of the different facets of Kennet. He really is hilarious with his inability to relate to others. Zuri takes in stride and begins teaching him how to interact. He is always willing to investigate Something and this is the perfect something. It isn't all smooth sailing. They have a mystery to solve, her brother to find and creatures to eradicate from their lake. I loved the way Zuri pulled Kennet out of his shell and her grandmother, Magda, also the leader of their village. Don't miss this book in the Rakian Warriors series. It is a big yes for me.
Really enjoyed this one. Kennet is the ‘Spock’ of the Rakian scout team, so when Zuri shows up accusing the Rakians of turning a predatory flying pest loose on her village, Kennet is only too delighted to do field research. His logic and her fiercely independent mind are all too often at odds - and their slow spiral into lust, then love, is the only thing that keeps this oddball research team in the game. Add an even bigger predator, a poisoned water source, a village elder who talks with the birds, and some unwelcome aliens bent on exploitation, and you’ve got yourself a really entertaining alien action romance.
g Kennet is alone in the ship when a woman comes calling, to accuse the Star men of bringing trouble to her village with strange animals.
While Kennet is sure that he and his brothers had nothing to do with these animals, he decides to go to her village to see what these things are, and help if he can. Zuri leads him back to her village, with trouble along the way. There were more animal attacks while that needs gone. Can Kennet find the problem and the source ? Can Zuri get rid of the suited that won't leave her alone? Can the two of them forge a relationship and save her people?
The first time the two main characters meet, it does not go well. Let’s just say their personalities clashed.... repeatedly. She is feisty, brave and stubborn. He’s consumed with knowledge, overly protective of her yet can’t seem to win an argument! Danger is ever present on this cold, hostile world that slowly draws them together.
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Shielded by the Rakian Scientist This story is great , it's well written . The story is interesting and suspenseful . Rakian Scientist Kennet finds his mate when she shows up demanding his help to stop a creature that's destroying her village . It's full of action and romance . I highly recommend reading .
The Rakian series is a great example of what SFR can be: excellent world building, fascinating main and supporting characters, and intense plots lightened with appropriate humor. I took time to write a review because this series deserves more attention.
I enjoyed reading Kennet and Zuri's story. These two characters are well developed and have great chemistry. This series is action packed and so was this story. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
Zuri on her faithful steed Goliath got to the alien castle to accuse the inhabitants of bringing the new predators to her village. Tennet is busy with his projects and is not enamoured with this interruption but Zuri is tenacious.
Kennet and Zuri was an exciting, intriguing, suspenseful story. I really enjoyed this book and again couldn't put my Kindle down. Incredible what we learned in this story and a taste of the next one.
Great series, I love Kennet and Zuri, can’t get enough of characters with logical scientific minds and the simple yet over complicated way they think. They pair so well with feisty women!
Love the story and the characters so much. I enjoy the cast stays the same. New characters are added but we do not loose old friends. Very enjoyable to read.
