This was a very informative book. It certainly made me want to see many of these “chick flicks” especially the older ones.

The title is the truth -- this really is the ultimate guide to chick flicks. The author details the different elements of a "chick flick" and gives great examples of their execution, as well as listing different types of chick flicks. She also includes a "chick flick a day" calendar for those with a need for comprehensive viewing (or those with a *lot* of time on their hands).

Good call, Effie!

I'm a big fan of lists, so this book completely satisfied my craving for everything related to chick flicks. I'll admit that I have that mushy side, so this book was totally perfect. It covered a lot of movies that I already love (Steel Magnolias, etc.) but it suggested a few classics that would be worthwhile. Separated into categories, this book is definitely a treat for any romance movie buff.

My prize for winning the maud oscars pool. A very dangerous book--I purposefully read it far away from my computer and my netflix queue. So many movies to see and movies to watch again! Wouldn't a movie and book vacation be fabulous? Pure fluff, but really fun fluff.

It becomes outdated so quickly, but I do love an organized grouping of items. And I do love romantic comedies. The calendars with a different chick flick for every day of the year! Love!
