Hi, I’m Patricia Moore — a dreamer with too many notebooks, a camera always in hand, and a head full of shadow magic. I write dark fantasy stories about fierce heroines, secret academies, and the thin line between destiny and choice. When I’m not building worlds like Dominion Academy, I’m capturing real ones through my photography business. My stories come from curiosity, emotion, and my belief that even the darkest journeys can spark light. Thanks for reading, reviewing, and stepping into the shadows with me.
What an adorable story that is consistent with other miraculous stories presented in the Bible. Like others who needed Jesus' healing throughout His lifetime, a faithful Silent Shepherd gets to meet Jesus and experience His healing. A recommended Christmas Read
Aaron, the shepherd’s son, cannot speak. He wants to become a shepherd, just like his father. His father, too, wished the same. One day Aaron tried to call the sheep, but he couldn’t. His father was worried about Aaron and was teary. Anxious, Aaron went to bed but couldn’t sleep. An angel appeared and summoned Aaron and his father to go to Bethlehem to witness the birth of Christ. Did they meet Baby Christ? Did he give Aaron his much-awaited voice? Kids’ books aren’t easy to write when they communicate an emotion or the idea of religious faith. So when we got a review request from the author, we were curious to see how the author handled the challenge. The author did a pretty good job. This book conveys the message of God and the need for faith to overcome difficult times in a straightforward storyline. An easy-to-read faith book for children with simple and appealing illustrations. Read full review at Nothing But Picture Books
"Silent Shepherd" is a heartwarming story of a boy named Aaron who could not speak. His father is a shepherd and he longs to be able to call to the sheep like his father does. He feels as if he is a disappointment to his father since he cannot speak. One day an angel appeared to Aaron and his father to tell them the good news that Jesus was born. They travel to meet Jesus but when they arrive, Aaron feels he is not worthy of being near the Christ Child. His father reassures him that Jesus would accept him as he is and a wonderful miracle happens when Aaron meets Jesus. This is a wonderful story to inspire kids. I would recommend this story to Christian families around ages 4-7.
4.5 stars (4 on Goodreads, 5 on Amazon) I had the feeling I would enjoy this unusual-sounding Christian children's story about a mute shepherd boy at the time of the birth of Jesus. The relationship between the boy and his father is so sweet, the boy endearing, and the illustrations charming. The way the boy at last gains his speech is heartwarming. This is a fine Christmas story for young children, and one I think the whole family can appreciate any time of the year.
Because a shepherd boy is unable to speak, he thinks that he disappoints his father. One night, angels appear to announce the birth of Jesus. They journey to Bethlehem with their sheep. What happens next is a beautiful miracle.
This is a beautiful children's book about the Lord God has for us, kids, and their parents (fathers in this case). Good holiday book to be read on Christmas Eve, in my opinion.
This story delivers a strong message that all things through Christ make us stronger. The main character, a small boy, is unable to speak. I love the way his father consoles and comforts him. After they make a journey to Bethlehem to see Christ Child, the boy becomes able to speak. Now he call out to the shepherds just like his father.
