I was born and raised in a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts. I've spent most of my life in the area, except for brief stays in Las Vegas and Los Angeles in my early twenties. I'm married and have two grown children, a boy and a girl. I'm a very private person who'd much rather sit and talk with a friend over a cup of tea or a glass of wine than attend a big party. I have no desire to ever appear on any (un)reality or any other TV show although I might agree to appear on the Tonight Show if my book became a best seller and Leno personally called to ask me. Have I mentioned I have a very active imagination! I've almost always been self-employed at one thing or another. Right out of high school, I spent about eighteen months working in a local department store, now long out of business, and that was enough to convince me I wanted to be my own boss. I currently manage websites for a small group of clients and occasionally do a little proofing and editing. I enjoy writing (of course!) and gardening as well as cooking unusual dishes and trying new wines.

I really liked all seven stories, especially the first, "Coffee Girl" and the last, "All Dressed Up."

I also liked that they were different, not all "sweetness and light" kind of stories. In one, a woman's car breaks down putting her in peril, and in another, a woman makes some unfortunate choices following the untimely death of her husband.

I'd recommend this to anyone who likes romantic short stories and is tired of the reading the same old things.

Note that this book was previously published with a (sorry!) terrible green cover. Fortunately, I found it after they redid it with a new cover.

I like short stories and these are seven good ones. The first and last especially are gems.
