So. Much. Drama.

Seriously, if you are in the mood for some heavy drama, pick up this book! Seven Ten Third took me on a wild roller coaster ride of emotions. There were tears and laughs, as well as plenty of swooning and a couple of times I wanted to reach through the screen and knock some sense into a few of the characters.

Aaron is my latest book boyfriend. He's smart, sweet, athletic, and an all-around good guy who puts doing the right thing above all else. Lucy. Poor Lucy. She's been through way too much at such a young age. One of the best parts of this book is seeing her recover and grow from the trauma through significant introspection and therapy. The secondary characters, especially Lucy's friends, add to this book, as well.

If you're a fan of Mack, this book won't disappoint! Pick it up today!

Don’t walk… RUN!!! Reading something else? I don’t care. Put it to the side for this one! This book was PHENOMENAL!!!!

This is a young adult novel. Teaching junior high for 22 years, I never care about reading young adult novels. And this one is a perfect example. If it’s good, it’s good… I don’t care what age you are!

I literally was hooked at page 1. The main characters are Lucy and Aaron. The chapters volley between the two of them, and you have to love them both. Lucy starts the book by working her community service hours from an accident that took the life of one of her classmates. Imagine her angst. Aaron was the best friend of the classmate. School starts and they have to see each other… every… day...

This book had teenagers who were very real. Sometimes I think authors try too hard to sound young. The characters were wholeheartedly believable! The other students at the school aren’t sure how to treat Lucy. Lucy isn’t sure how to treat Lucy. You spend time working through the grief of the characters who are all trying to heal and to find a new normal. Of course there will be tension because so many people can not forgive what Lucy did or what she took away from them. I have to give it to her. She shows up every day. A lot of people would not. But part of me loving Lucy so much is the fact that she keeps showing up.

Page 1. I am telling you. I could NOT put this down. My spring break was over. Who needs sleep? I had to stay up to finish it last night. And now that I did finish it, I miss the characters already.

I did find 3 typos. It’s the English teacher in me… they existed, but did not detract from my love of this book at all.

TW: suicide. What a fantastic read! I honestly didn’t even read a description before diving in to this, and I loved every second of it. The main characters were well developed, and captured not just teenage angst, but the full gamut of emotion, self-consciousness, and frustrations that I can remember experiencing so vividly. The ending surprised me in a great way, and just tied it all together beautifully.

Excellent story

It all begins with Lucy serving on a trash detail, where we find out she has accidentally run over and killed Cody, one of her school's star athletes, at a party. On this trash detail, she is befriended by Delaney, who becomes important later in the book. When Lucy returns to school in the fall, her life is made miserable by June Matthews, who was Cody's girlfriend, and her little group of mean girl buddies, who pull all kinds of mean stunts in order to put Lucy in a bad light. Aaron, who was Cody's best friend has taken a liking to Lucy, but Lucy is wary of him. To make matters even worse, June thinks Aaron should be with her now that Cody is gone, and she takes every opportunity to throw herself at him. Aaron, however, isn't having it, and this makes June angrier than ever, especially when she sees him with Lucy. But June has her own set of problems, as well as her own agenda, and soon these will get mixed up. I found this a really amazing book, especially since all the ends weren't neatly tied up at the close. Not like it was indicating a sequel, just like it was real life.

This story dealt with some tough issues and it started off great, but it kind of fell away for me. Lucy was involved in a car accident which killed Cody, a popular student. When Lucy returns to school, Cody's girlfriend, June makes life unbearable for her. Aaron, Cody's best friend befriends her, but Lucy is reluctant to connect with him. There were a lot of secrets being kept, and I was disappointed that Aaron didn't open up, especially after talking to the teacher.

The decision of one person changes the life of many.

This is an emotional read that faces some tough subjects. As Lucy and Aaron start senior year facing a tragedy. When they are thrown together will they hate each other or find solitude in the tragedy that happened.

This read has all of the feels. Ms Mack did a fabulous job of writing such realistic senior year from all the drama, lies, friends and enemies.

I could not put this book down! It keeps you guessing up until the end. Full of drama, loss, and a dash of romance, it is a great book. Especially to help get over a reading slump! 10/10 would totally recommend.

Definitely interesting. I’m not really sure how I feel about a love story coming out of a suicide? But the other plot of the book was interesting and I was super surprised to find out who Allie was. Wish there was more of a story on that.
