Synopsis Jack Wharton is an “Old Philadelphian.” That’s the name given to people whose families can trace their roots back to the origin of the City of Philadelphia, well before the United States became a country. He left that life of privilege long ago to become a homicide detective on the Philadelphia Police Force. When highly educated call girls begin to turn up dead, Jack soon realizes that he is connected to the murders; he just doesn’t know how.Dr. Emily Dawson has left her practice as a Clinical Psychiatrist to accept a position as the Dean of the Psychology Department at the University of Pennsylvania. When she meets Jack at a party and they hit it off, neither one of them have any idea what they will go through together before the semester even gets underway. Set in the beautiful City of Philadelphia and on the sandy beaches of Cape May, New Jersey, “Collage” is a story of love, trust, revenge and danger, and how everything is connected. *standalone*

Hello! My name is Gisell and I reside in Pencil-Vania. I was born and raised in this state. I’ve worked as a hairstylist since 1999, but have a passion/borderline obsession with makeup, beauty products, wine and reading books. So I’ve decided to jump into the world of writing and I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them just for you.

Normally I stay in the genres of romance and fatnasy but I wanted something different for a change. This book was exactly what I as wanting. It's interesting with twists and turns that I never saw coming. I couldn't put this book down. I was up until way past my "bed time" reading. I highly recommend this book!

Overall, this was a decent read. The premise and storyline of this book was actually really great! I liked that the author included little snippets of the girls and why they ended up there. It helped give insight as to why the girls were chosen without showing the full reason nor whom it was that was doing the killings. I was intrigued as to why there were flashbacks from Jack’s past and how it related to the murders. I felt that the romance aspect was a little rushed and somewhat irrelevant to the story. I wish that the flashbacks and the victims parts were better labeled as it was very hard to initially differentiate when the story was changing. All in all, it was a good storyline and I was dying to figure out who the killers were!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Collage hit me like a tidal wave. I knew I'd enjoy the read. It has romance, suspense and intrigue. However, I never could have predicted a five star read!
Jack comes from a very rich family but he doesn't let that stop him from solving crimes as a cop and lead investigator. He has his work cut out for him when escorts start being murdered. Not only does he have to find the killer quickly on this one but he has to figure out why the killer is pointing the finger at him.
In the midst of all this, Jack meets Emily a psychologist at the university and someone Jack decides he needs to get to know. The romance between these two is so perfectly written it should be kismet.
Gisell has blown me away with this first book I've read by her. Her writing style makes it so easy for the reader to get emotionally hooked on her plot and characters loves. She writes with intense emotion that is felt throughout the novel. I can't wait to read more by this author!
